In the first year of Stan Kroenke’s tenure as owner of the Rams, the team continues to sell enough tickets to permit the home games to be televised locally.
Even if Kroenke himself is buying any surplus tickets at 34 cents on the dollar.
In advance of the Week 11 game against the Falcons, the Rams managed to sell before Thursday’s 3:05 p.m. CT deadline the 1,000 tickets that remained unsold as of Wednesday night.
The brisk sales without an extension invites speculation that the Rams are buying the excess tickets. If that’s the case, we prefer that the Rams do it this way, instead of creating a phony sense of urgency via a 24-hour extension aimed at getting fans to buy tickets that the team ultimately will buy anyway.

I smell upset here.
Hey joe, that’s what im talkin about! rams with a big W this weekend.
Falcons 9th home game.
Can we get a blacked out games leader board for the season? I think some teams will be making serious moves after one or two more games and their playoff hopes are shot.
I can never pass up a chance to say something bad about the Rams, but I’m hard pressed to find anything negative about this story.
Dammit.
1,000 unsold seats doesn’t reflect all that badly on the fanbase, and it makes Kronke look like a good guy for getting the game on TV.
I hate stories like this one.
