Though it remains to be seen whether Saints running back Reggie Bush plays on Sunday against the Seahawks, a teammate who also carries the questionable label definitely won’t be playing.
The Saints have announced that long snapper Jason Kyle has been sent to injured reserve, and that Jake Ingram has been signed to replace him.
Ingram entered the league as a sixth-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2009.
The injury report indicates that Kyle didn’t participate in practice on Friday, due to a shoulder injury. He previously hadn’t been on the report.
Kyle replaced Kevin Houser during the 2009 offseason. Houser, the team’s long-time snapper, was cut in the wake of reports that he had recruited teammates and others to invest in a Louisiana film company — and that a lot of money ended up being lost. Houser acknowledged that the situation may have created a rift in the locker room. Jeremy Shockey likely agreed.
