Ravens-Panthers one-liners

Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw for a season-high 301 yards in Baltimore’s 37-14 blowout win over Carolina in Week Eleven.

Ravens DE Terrell Suggs tallied a fourth-quarter sack, putting him on pace for a career-high 13.

Seldom-used Ravens WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh was surprised by his increased role Sunday, but capitalized with a 56-yard touchdown bomb and caught his 600th career pass.

Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun believes that the Ravens need to “unleash” LB Dannell Ellerbe, who’s been in the coaching staff’s doghouse for the last few weeks.

Panthers RB Mike Goodson, who registered his second straight 100-yard rushing game, left an impression on the Ravens in Sunday’s loss.

Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen missed Sunday’s game with a concussion, but is optimistic about returning for Week Twelve.

The lone bright spot on the day for Carolina came courtesy of rookie WR David Gettis, who caught an 88-yard touchdown bomb in the fourth quarter.

Panthers OT Jordan Gross referred to his team’s offense as a “makeshift” unit in his review of the game.

Please stop mentioning Mike Preston as if he’s some kind of credible journalist.

    Here’s a one-liner:
Panthers fans stink. They leave the game early. After the Panthers scored on a long TD pass, the Carolina fans cheered loudly, then packed up to go home. I asked one fan why he was leaving so early; he replied simply, “They won’t get to the playoffs anyway.” Then he left with his team only down by 7 with a quarter to go. Pathetic.
