Last week, Cowboys defensive back Bryan McCann -- an undrafted rookie from Southern Methodist -- won the NFC defensive player of the week award in only his second NFL game.

This week, in his third career game, McCann has been named the conference’s special teams player of the week for his performance in the Cowboys’ 35-19 win over the Lions.

A week after returning an interception 101 yards for a touchdown, McCann returned a punt 97 yards for a score. The heady play came after a member of the Lions knocked the ball into the field of play as it was heading toward the end zone.
