Clayton was the 2nd best WR on the Nighthawks (Robert Ferguson was much better) but I hope he catches on with the Giants.

As for the fee, it is negotiable and from what the UFL has been saying I don’t think the timing (before the UFL Championship) will stand in Clayton’s way.

------------------------------------------------

2nd best on the NIGHTHAWKS?? That's like saying I came in second place in a race against 5 one-legged men... In the end, you still got beaten by a one-legged man!

I was hoping for Curtis as well. Supposedly they already brought him in. I think they might be looking at Clayton just because he has been playing SOMEWHERE recently. Hasn’t Curtis been out of football for a while? I know he underwent treatment for testicular cancer (it even hurts to write that).

Define "Playing somewhere" Clayton didn't do much playing. He dropped a lot of passes though.

Last I heard, Curtis was favoring Detroit because he thinks he'll stick there. Anyone coming in for the Giants knows they are gone as soon as Smith and Nicks heal. Makes sense for him to stay in Detroit if he can make the team for this year and maybe next.

To all the Tampa fans - It's not like they were pursuing him in the offseason. They have most of their WRs either hurt for weeks or on IR. They need a body to have on the bench because, right now, if another WR goes down they don't have one to replace him with. Are Giants fans thrilled by this? Hell no! But what else can the team do but try to find a healthy castoff who has SOME experience. Ten games down, not like there's a HOF quality WR waiting by the phone for NY to call. If he's all that's left, then that's who they have to try to sign.
