Getty ImagesEarly in the week, we passed along a report that said Patrick Crayton would need to avoid surgery on his dislocated wrist to return to play this season.
Well, he underwent surgery. But the Chargers are hopeful he will return with a few weeks left in the season.
Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports Crayton could return as early as December 16.
He will miss this week, but it sounds likely the team will have wide receivers Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee available, ready to join Vincent Jackson for the first time all season. Antonio Gates also says he’ll try to practice this week.
Big loss for Chargers–he has been such a great addition. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Swap Crayton for VJ.
That’ll work.
My son the Yale Bulldog had that surgery last year. Crayton’s done.
Hey Patrick, huge Chargers fan here (for as long as they remain in San Diego, anyway) and I want to let you know how thankful I am that you are a part of our team.
I’m not sure what your contract looks like, but I hope you’re with us for a while ’cause you obviously still have a full tank.
I’ve never seen a WR stiff arm like you do!
Get well soon!
