He is exactly right. If a league minimum guy does something and gets a $50K fine that is 17% of his money, which is more than his weekly check, so he won't get a weekly check for a few weeks. However, when James Harrison commits the same penalty it is a much lower percentage of his money, probably as much money as he donates to his Akron cherities.

Big difference.

I needs to change.

One fine breaks a guy, and the other he shrugs off as nothing. It needs to change, Roger.

We need it to remain competitive against the improving Chiefs.

"Raise your hand if you think Jay Cutler can hold up against a pressure-based, quality defense at this point. (OK, put it down Shanahan. You look ridiculous.)"

Ok, that made me laugh quite hard.

Not a fan of Florio's pick, but oh well. Not a personal believer in being jinxed. Although the Phillies did finally win a World Series after someone put a small figurine of William Penn at the top of the building that was built taller than the statue. Hmm. We shall see.

You guys are hilarious with the Bucs vs. Ravens and Flacco vs. Freeman talk. While improved over last year greatly, the Bucs are irrelevant and very likely over-rated. The Ravens are not close to the favorite in the AFC. You should hear yourselves. Be a fan and hope for the best, but don't start thinking your upcoming game really matters all that much.

you also have to consider that Flacco has better weapons than Freeman, so the stats arent always accurate either. Not saying I would take Freeman but just saying the stats are subjective.

Its fairly obvious in my eyes FREEMAN is better than Flacco, without a doubt. Anyone who thinks otherwise should just check the stat lines and compare the too & when it comes to raw ability it aint even close, better arm strength, better speed, better height.

——————————————
smoke much? You lack credibility whenever your argument is reduced to ‘height’ and ‘speed’ for measuring a QB. Flacco has nearly 400 more yards and two more TD’s. Flacco has three playoff wins and an AFC Championship appearance. Second to Rodgers, Flacco can throw the ball longer than any other QB in the league. The guy can throw 45-50 yards with a flick of the wrist. In addition, he threw a 75-yard pass at the combine. So it seems like there is DOUBT whether Flacco is better than Freeman. Finally, Ravens aren’t so hospitable of younger QB’s.

================================
This coming from a Packer fan, but I think Rodgers and Cutler have the two strongest arms in the league, and I wouldn't be sure it wasn't Cutler first then Rodgers. Also, Vick has what appears to me a cannon. I have probably only watched 6-8 games Flacco has played in but have never noticed an overly strong arm, not saying he doesn't have one, just doesn't stick out like Rodgers, Cutler, or Vicks.

Seriously kid get off the computer, let the men talk sports you can get a copy of NFL Blitz for your nintendo to test the street fighting skills of your roster.

John clayton called he needs another nerdy statistician to join his staff, give him a call when you are old enough to work.

I'm with you, but the Bucs wouldnt have beaten anyone last year. So i'll take 7-3 against nobodies! This has been a great year for me when it comes to football, last year can be forgotten. It's good the team is relevant in late November, shoot 2 more yards against Atlanta and the Bucs would have the best record in the NFC.

More than 1/2 of the league doesnt have a winning record by the way. So sitting at 7-3 with the Steelers,Saints and Falcons are not teams that I'm embarassed to lose to. The Bengals however I'd hate to have lost to them(cough cough Ravens).

Good luck to whoever you team is this week since your not a Ravens fan!! Happy Turducken Day!

I never said they would lose, realistically they are a much younger team and they MAY lose. It's not an excuse or lack of faith in my team. I love the Bucs and I absolutely think they will win, I was merely stating that the Falcons thought the Bucs were a joke and yeah they lost, but they earned respect!

I also never said the Ravens suck, just that Freeman is better than flacco and he doesn't have a furry beaver planted above his eyes.

You B-More Browns fans sure take discussion boards seriously.

Happy Thanksgiving! Give Art Modell my best!!

Finally a little love for the Bears.
________________

My guess is it will be short lived, Lets be honest they have beat TWO teams with QBs that have had potential to play at great level. Romo & Rodgers, otherwords the Bears have beat nothing but QBs off the bench Fitzpatrick/Clausen/Thigpen or a QB that NEEDS benching, Favre.

So be honest with yousrelves before going into this weekend. I give the Bears about 20% chance of winning while thier pass defense has been impressive. They have won against 1 Top QB this year and they squeeked pass. Good luck Chi. Your going to need it.

I don't think he can run at all, that's evident by his lack of yards lately. I think the only way he can get any yardage is on a kick off with a head of steam.
I do agree this game has upset written all over it but so did the Raiders game.
I won't deny Fitzpatrick is playing great either, that's the only part of the Bills team that I can see doing anything meaninful on Sun.

I'm not even a Ravens fan, but at least the Ravens have beaten a team with a winning record. Every time the Bucs face a team with a winning record, they've lost (and 2 out of three times, they got blown out at home).

Its fairly obvious in my eyes FREEMAN is better than Flacco, without a doubt. Anyone who thinks otherwise should just check the stat lines and compare the too & when it comes to raw ability it aint even close, better arm strength, better speed, better height.

------------------------------------------
smoke much? You lack credibility whenever your argument is reduced to 'height' and 'speed' for measuring a QB. Flacco has nearly 400 more yards and two more TD's. Finally, Ravens aren't so hospitable of younger QB's.

The Bucs are not worried about the Baltimore Browns….Please you guys are seriously old and falling apart. The Bucs have built for Championships from the ground up. You lost your best coach to the Jets and half of your roster is collecting social security checks. I bet your entire defense would defect to the jets if given the chance because that teams swagger walked out the door when Rex left. Let your spitting fullback get the urge this weekend, Talib will puch his a$s in the face like a smart mouothed cab driver. Do yourselves a favor, beg ownership to sell this team to Los Angeles because you need to hire a new band and cry about your missing team so you can pilfer Cleveland again. they are on the rise, good young team.

haha Aqib Talib hah? All Ravens need to do is send Oher, Ngata and Lewis to a battle and those three will handle all 53 scrubs on your roster. Your team has been blown out twice this season, already. However, you have to go back almost 4 years to the last time Ravens lost badly.

And...as for USCGBUC...

you go on to read the stats and state that Freeman is still better, even though that stats you read indicate Flaccos are better. Freeman has two fewer int's and two fewer TD's. You keep talking trash, and then, at the end, you say this:

"I’m going to save this post so you can read it again in the one liners after the game. The BUCS MAY lose, but they will earn a little more respect just like in Atlanta. This teams average age is 24.5 and will be around for a long time!"

The Buc's may lose. So you don't even have faith in the guy you promoting or the team. In your eyes the Ravens suck. But, in your eyes, they will still prolly win. What exactly were you trying to say?
Geesh! When did Joe Flacco get so bad? What did he do to make everyone start hating on him? He's won big games every year. He has the best QB rating in the league over the last 7 games. He's thrown 1 pick in the last 7 games. He consistently throws for over 250 yards, and no picks. He plays his best in the fourth quarter. He does not play defense or call the plays. It would be interesting to see how good he would be if he HAD to throw on almost every down. I can't think of one single game he's lost the team in his three years. If it weren't for the Raven's D, everyone would be talking about him after the Atlanta game and his fourth quarter comeback, which was actually more impressive. So, someone, please explain why Flacco is so bad.

Why is Rivers getting so much love with one of the best rated defenses and top rated offense and a ton of losses to sub par teams? He finds a way to lose. We're supposed to be impressed by beating the Broncos?

As for Freeman, the only stat he's better in is rushing. Flacco doesn't have to run. Plus, I don't want my QB running and taking all those extra hits. His legs won't do him any good on the bench. Plus, who has Freeman played? They got crushed, at home, to the Steeler's minus Big Ben. They fade in every big game.

So what your saying is that he can't run between the tackles, but he can score on special teams? Is that supposed to be an insult? I will take the points however they come. Fitzpatrick is alot more mobile than the last 3 QB's the Steelers have faced, and they have 3 consistent offensive weapons in the passing game. I'm not guraunteeing a win however, this one has upset alert written all over it.

CJ Spiller couldn't get 40 yards rushing on his own defense, let's be realistic. The only way he has an impact in this game would be him running back a kick.

Johnson might have some big catches but I can see the Steelers being in the backfield quite a bit coming of that Raiders beat down.

Maybe you should be bothered to just look it up. Flac is better in EVERY SINGLE category aside from just pure wins and post season performance … aside Flacco has actually beaten teams with a winning record which Freeman fails.
This game might seem close on paper but the Bucs will just get chilled come Sunday … Ravens by three TDs, one from each team.

You are ridiculous. Flacco has .2 more yds per pass, .1% better QB rating, .1% better accuracy and 300 more yards passing with 40 more attempts. Freeman has thrown fewer INT's, Rushed for 200 yds more and has been sacked fewer times. Freeman is Bigger,Stronger,Better Arm Strength, more elusive, Faster and doesnt have a UNIBROW!!! The stats will shift this weekend as Flacco will fae the team with the most INT's in the league and the 6th ranked passing defense.

Your best chance will be to RUN the ball, but Frank Gore tried last week and netted 23 yds on 12 carries 1.9per carry and 37 receiving yds. This man averages 132 yds per game and managed just 60 against these young BUCS!! This comes from a team starting 7 rookies!!

I hate stats, but since you called out Freeman I figured I'd spit some your way.

I'm going to save this post so you can read it again in the one liners after the game. The BUCS MAY lose, but they will earn a little more respect just like in Atlanta. This teams average age is 24.5 and will be around for a long time!

Yea comparing the Bengals to the Steelers is like apples to oranges. However, the Bengals offense exploded all over the Steelers in the second half of the Monday night game a few weeks back, which exposed a shakey Steelers pass defense. Also, this Bills offense is much better than the Bengals. Ryan Fitzpatrick is playing out of his mind right now, although inconsistent, and I belive is a better quarterback at this time than Carson Palmer. The defense seems to be finding its way as well, look for the turnovers to keep coming as they build confidence. With Spiller expected back, and Fred Jackson hitting his stride, this offense is just to balanced to be blown out. This will be the upset of the week.
