On this week’s edition of The T. Ocho Show, Bengals receiver Terrell Owens called Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger “soft,” because Owens apparently believes -- incorrectly -- that the WWE-style open-palmed punch from Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour knocked Roethlisberger out of the game.
“A hockey player would have took that and kept on tickin’,” T.O. said. “It just shows you how soft Ben is.”
On Wednesday, Roethlisberger opted not to respond directly, but Roethlisberger made a backhanded slap at the 2-Ocho record of the T. Ocho team.
“I don’t need to comment on that,” Roethlisberger said, per Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “I want to focus on winning championships.”
In that category, Big Ben has two. T.O and partner Chad Ochocino possess nada.
Receiver Hines Ward said he doesn’t care what Owens says. “We’re not even going to listen to T.O.'s show,” Ward said, according to Brown. “When you’re at that point, you’re just trying to pump up your show as much as you can so people can talk about it.”
Ward is right. Owens says recklessly outlandish stuff so that people will watch the show, so that Owens can then continue to pursue his second career as reality-star-slash-wannabe-actor.
