This isn’t the type of comment I would make … but it’s obvious that this is what macadamia, blackbartii, eskinsux, lucky5927, connie73, and jimmysmith have been doing. Sad. So sad.

It’s been days now since Seymour said Roethlisberger didn’t talk any smack to him and people are still claiming he did. Raiders fans and Roethlisberger haters are really dense.

The say something without saying anything approach. Pure and simple, that is what Ben did. I don’t know or care about his past and transgressions, obviously he wasn’t arrested and charged and none of us were there, so we won’t ever know, and I don’t like him or the Steelers at all, just how I don’t care much for Dallas, the Colts or the Patriots but love him or hate him, he did respond to T.O.’s comments.
As an earlier poster stated, he said “kiss the rings.”
He does have two rings and those championships are why players are supposed to play the game. Not all of the money or extra garbage that comes from it.

That being said, I will agree about how people in the media continue to feed Ocho and T.O. and a lot of the time, it’s the media that makes T.O. and others look worse than they are. People try to sensationalize things too much and not get all of the facts/information and run with it. I hate it as much as the next person and I sadly work in the media field. But I always fact check, fact check and fact check again before I let any of my pieces be published.

Kudos for Ben for taking the high road and not commenting on the situation; similar to how Tomlin handled the situation. They’re focused on winning footballgames – not fueling the drama and gossip. Keep up the positive changes Ben!

Ben has played through major injuries. He’s taken more sacks than anyone in the NFL the past 3 or 4 years. He played dodgeball with a car windshield without a helmet. He played a couple weeks after an emergency appendectomy. He made the Super Bowl winning drive in the last minute of the game with a broken rib.

Ben doesn’t need to prove his “toughness” to a guy like T.O.

I have to laugh at the hater-morons trying to pretend Ben did anything to provoke Seymour.

Go look at the video — you’ll see Ben staring AHEAD when he approaches Seymour, not even looking at him. Meanwhile you’ll see Seymour looking right at Roethlisberger before taking the cheap shot. That says it all.

Big Ben has NEVER talked a single word of trash about, or to, anyone. Not only that, but he’s never said a word when he’s been hit late, or taken shots at the knees (unlike Brady, who whines to the refs if he’s even brushed).

So it makes NO sense Ben would do anything to provoke Seymour.

Oh and note to Owens — no QB has taken more hits playing behind that patchwork excuse for an o-line than Ben. If anything he’s probably the toughest guy in the league. I’d like to see how long Palmer would last playing behind the Steelers line.
