Jets take control in second half

marksanchez

At the end of the second quarter, the Jets were trailing. Early in the fourth, they’re rolling.

The Jets lead 24-10 with 12:33 to play after Brad Smith’s 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. They also got a 53-yard touchdown run from Smith in the third quarter.

Throw in a Mark Sanchez 13-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes, and it’s been a big second half for the Jets.

And so we appear headed for another Thanksgiving game in which the inferior team shows some life, but the superior team eventually gets things going.

Bengals turnovers. Bengals missed tackles. Bengals poor special teams play. The list continues ad nauseum.

When one aspect of your team continues to play poorly it is trouble and will eventually catch up to you. When all phases play poorly, it is doom.

It appears that this team cannot win with Marvin Lewis and Carson Palmer.

Once again the Jets play down to their poor competition.

This game should have never been close.

Is it me or does anybody else think Joe Theisman’s got a pickle up his arse tonight regarding the Jets? Will somebody please give that other LT a call?

Agreed. The Jets barely beat yet another below .500 team.

Everyone is impressed with the Jets’ stellar defense.

Jets doubled up the Patsies 28-14 without Revis and Santonio Holmes.

THe only reason the bengals got a touchdown in this game was the bad hit penalty when a Jets DB hit T.O. in the chest with a shoulder.

    Browns 34 Patriots 14

Jets beat the Browns the following week.
