Antonio Gates practiced on Thursday for the first time in almost a month, but he’s still not sure he’ll play against the Colts on Sunday night.
“I don’t know how I’m going to respond tomorrow,” Gates told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. “Last week I didn’t respond well to this kind of activity.”
Malcom Floyd (hamstring) didn’t practice for a second straight day, but coach Norv Turner expressed some optimisim Floyd and banged-up wideout Legedu Naanee could both be available.
It looks like running back Ryan Mathews (ankle) will be out for a second straight week.
