Look at the Leafs in the NHL. They’ve been brutal for the same amount of time the Raiders have, yet Leafs fans are everywhere at games all over North America.

You see, some teams have true die hard fans, some, like the Chargers, have fairweather fans.

“Always dominated.”!?! WTF!?! That has to be one of the lamest statements I’ve read on PFT in a long time, and yes that is saying a lot considering the not-quite-mensa’s that post on this site. Do you really expect anyone who reads your post to believe that Raider fans dominate away games!?! Are you talking about the same Oakland Raiders that have posted seven consecutive seasons with at least eleven losses (an NFL record)!?! Are we to believe that 50,000 Raider fans somehow materialize in other cities and buy the majority of the tickets, yet Oakland w. millions of people in the Bay area to pull from can’t sell-out a home game unless they sell two-for-one tickets!?! That is ridiculous when you consider the Raiders posted a not-so-impressive attendance of 35,721 for one of their home games this year. Furthermore, they are in dead last in NFL home field attendance, yet somehow you expect us to believe Raider fans show up in droves and “outnumber” fans on the road. Um…yea, (giggle) we believe you.

You’d like a franchise in Osh Kosh? Or how about Kenosha? Maybe even one on Rock Island?

You’re just jealous that WI is a dump and nobody wants to move there. Of course they want a franchise in LA – California is where it’s at!

Home games might not sell out, but the away games are always dominated by Raider fans. I’ve been to New York to see them play the Jets, and the Raider fans far outnumbered Jets fans. And in San Diego….it wasn’t even close. I felt like I was in Oakland.

If these numbers are accurate, I’m flabbergasted…

For a fan base that’s always up in my grill (as a Chargers fan) for disloyalty and fair-weatherness, I now see them as HUGE hypocrites!

If it makes you feel better to think you’re better than us by stereotyping us in that fashion, go for it. But that fear people have against Raider Nation makes us the most hated in all the NFL. And that’s the truth. It’s not fair but just the way it is. And to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Raiders4Life!!!!!

Nail on the head!

The Raiders organization relishes in its thug-like persona which works in the midst of success, but heavily works against itself in times of defeat.

And for that matter, winning is reward enough for going to a game… No need to stoke the flames of violence to drum-up support… “Just win, baby!” Right?

I’m a Chargers fan, and I’m well aware that Raiders fans love to reminisce about their 3 or 4 coveted Super Bowl rings, and they’ve every right to do so, but to be fair, their last Super Bowl occured before I was born, so they mean NOTHING to me! Ancient history! Pointing to those rings is the same thing as Greece or Italy reminding us that they once ruled the entire known world- But look at them now! Inconsequential losers!

I will end with some words of wisdom I once heard a game commentator make during a live Raiders game, “The Raiders, a commitment to excrement!”

– The Raiders have had 80 blackouts, and 45 games on television, since moving back to Oakland in 1995.

MDS, I like the way you smartly worded this… “TV” viewers won’t be able to watch the game, but that won’t stop thousands of people from watching it via illegal internet feeds.

Every time a game gets “blacked out,” I just point and laugh at the NFL for trying to screw over its fans, but failing miserably to do so.

Right on! LA RAIDERS does sound a lot better than the Oakland RAIDERS. I do recall them winning their last Super Bowl as the LA RAIDERS aswell. I grew up with them here in LA and I would love to have them back, preferably under new ownership with all due respect to Mr. Al Davis. RAIDERS4LIFE!!!!!!

Not to be snarky but what makes you think the RAIDERS would remain the RAIDERS in LA? What I mean is that the NFL and the franchise may do what the Ravens did and that is leave the name, the history and the colors in Oakland. The world has changed since Al left the first time. The league may want a relocated franchise to start anew and follow past examples of relocated franchises.

Most seats cost twice that. It is not like no one will pay $35 for good seats. Those seats will not sell unless the team is winning consistantly.

Haven’t lived in WI for 12 years. As a matter of fact I live in Pacific Grove. CA does not need another football team when they can’t even support 3.
