Rosenthal, on behalf of bear fans, you just might as well hold florios hand and jump the hell off the bears bandwagon after all your “witty snarky” comments about the “fraud” bears. If you were an actual reporter, you wouldve taken notice by now that the Bears are for real, nowhere near the same team as it was in Oct. Your picks… Bills(0-8 at the time) over Bears, Vikes(2-7) over Bears, Eagles over Bears. Florio… Bills, Vikes, Dolphins, Eagles over Bears. Bears 4-0 since the Bye. florio and rosenthall 1-7. And you get paid for this????!!!!! The only reason I come to this site anymore is for the comments(for or against my point of view), much more entertaining than your feeble attempts at humor.

The Bears have been steadily improving, but if Bears fans want to know why they aren’t getting any respect, it’s because of the thoroughly humiliating ass-whupping they took on national TV from the Giants. For most people who don’t live in Chicago, that was the last look they had at the Bears until yesterday. And it left quite an impression.

Hey seasons swing on one game, and just because only 2 of the Bears wins came against teams with winning records NOW doesn’t mean a thing. Everyone counted them out against the dominant 1-2 Dallas in week three.

Oh yea and for those that can’t count the Bears have beat 3 teams with a winning record: GB, MIA, PHI.

And sure they lost when they should’ve won against SEA & WAS but you can’t say the offensive game plan and protection is the same now as it was then. Every team loses at some point unexpectedly, but its how you bounce back that matters. Coming off the bye, the Bears righted their ship and crusied through a typically challenging November undefeated.

December will be rougher, have to be careful against a stong Lions team then have the test of the season (again) at home against the Pats. Then MNF @Vikings, which they should win, and another big home test against the Jets. I’d say they lose one at home but take care of business on the road. 11-4 heading into Green Bay, who will lose @Patriots and maybe to the Giants. The division is ours for the taking after yesterday, if we continue to play at that level we could even lock into the #2 seed.

Yes, the Seattle loss sucked, and that was a bad call against the Lions (that gave the Bears the game and gave me a 1 point loss in Fantasy Football) but the Pack isn’t setting the world on fire with losses to the Skins and the Dolphins.

You’re right. I’m not saying the Packers are any better. They aren’t. I’m only saying that these idiots crowning the Bears after they beat the “mighty” Eagles need to take a step back. That is all.

I’m a Bear fan, but I’ll admit that I really still don’t know how good they are. I picked them to go 8-8. They were absolutely horrible coming out of training camp. Most smart Bear fans are optimistic, yet still cautiously so. It’s just week by week with them, and it wouldn’t shock me if Detroit gave them a tough time or if the wheels fall off of Cutler next week.

I think the Packers are a bit better, mainly because you can bank on Rodgers more than Cutler. The Bears may have a slight edge on defense, both have inconsistent running games, but I’ll take Rodgers over Cutler any day of the week.

But at least we can both enjoy the suckfest in Minneapolis this year.

This is the same exact team that laid an egg against sorry-ass Seattle not long ago. The same team that barely scraped by Buffalo, and the same team that needed an all-time record 19 penalties to beat the Pack.

The Packers are behind the Bears in the division and they already lost the first head to head meeting so stop pretending like the Packers are the best team in football.

The Packers lost today and the Bears won.
The Packers are 7-4 while the Bears are 8-3.
They beat the Eagles today and the game was not as close as the score indicated and they were supposed to be the new elite team in the NFC going into this game.

The Cowboys were supposed to be the new elite team in the NFC and the Bears beat them.

The Vikings were supposed to be the new elite team in the NFC and the Bears beat them.

The Packers were supposed to be the new elite team in the NFC and the Bears beat them.

The Bears are not a perfect team and neither is any other team in the NFL so deal with it.

Gotta say it’s pretty funny that you’d bother with saying “Good win Bears” considering you go on to suggest that it was not, in fact, a good win, but instead an undeserved victory handed to a dope by the opposing coach’s clock mismanagement.

I’m just saying, pick a side and then stick with it. If you’re going the gracious-in-defeat route, then cut the excuses and insults. If you’re going the other route, then at least have enough courage of your convictions to be consistent.

We gaffed about every chance to win that game.
Reid continues to escape national scrutiny for his continuing clock mismanagement.
Cutler is a dope too. Watching him yell at that official is all you need to ever know about him…

With Asante Samuel, I agree this may have been a different game. And granted, we had a 5th string CB on their 2 or 3, but the game really came down to the poor tackling. Bears, in my opinion, shouldn’t have even had a chance in this game, and I know I’m probably imagining this, but I’m pretty sure I counted about 10 missed tackles in the first half. There’s no excuse for that, and if anyone is blaming the cornerback injuries for this, I’d like them to consider the fact that we couldn’t tackle worth jack-crap and kept giving up the big plays because of that. I would like a few Bears fan to notice that as well. It wasn’t just all really good offensive play, your defense played really well by the way, it was moreso the Eagles’ ineptitude on defense.

That said, good job Bears, you won, and that’s all that counts. Eagles have a lot more to work on and this game showed it. Tackling has been an issue with Eagles teams of late…

I knew it was only a matter of time before the “If we only had Asante Samuel” excuses started rolling out. Funny, Eagle fans didn’t want to hear any of the “injury excuses” last week when they beat the Giants (missing 2 WRs and 3 Olinemen).

I guess the shoe is now officially on the other foot.

Argue all you want, and maybe Samuel DOES make a difference. But if Eagle fans (not all of you, but most of you) want to knock other fans for pointing out injuries, than don’t make the same excuses yourselves.

save for the week 1 “win”, I am more amused every week by all the Bear haters that make excuses for whoever the Bears just beat. (Green Bay beat themselves, if the Eagles had their corners, the Vikes and ‘Boys just needed good coaching).

As a Bears fan, I can do nothing else but *facepalm* and hope you’re a Vikings troll posing as a Bears fan. Because, at this point, tearing down the other three teams in the North–and also the Saints–is all that’s keeping them going at this point.

There’s a big difference between “in the discussion” and “for real.” Bears achieved the former today. I’m not sure they can be considered the latter until they actually make the playoffs and win a game. Unless they win out. Which… yeah, not happening.

And, oh, by the way, playoffs are still an uphill climb at this point.
