The Steelers said all week that they weren’t looking past Sunday’s game with the Bills to next week’s showdown with the Ravens in Baltimore. That’s too bad for them because it would at least give them an excuse for why they find themselves tied with the Bills in the fourth quarter.

Rian Lindell’s second field goal of the fourth quarter made it a 13-13 game and 13 straight Bills points after Pittsburgh opened up a 13-0 lead at halftime. The last field goal came three plays after Bills safety Jairus Byrd stripped the ball from Rashard Mendenhall inside the Steelers’ 30-yard line.

The Steelers appeared to have the game well in hand when they forced a fumble on the first Bills drive of the second half and held the same 13-0 lead with five minutes to go in the third quarter when James Harrison got flagged for roughing Ryan Fitzpatrick on a play that would have brought the Bills to a third-and-10 from their own 20-yard line. The Bills offense woke up a couple of plays later when Fitzpatrick hit Fred Jackson for a 65-yard touchdown pass on a middle screen.
