There was one bright spot in the Colts’ Sunday night beatdown at the hands of the Chargers, and it came after the game.
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning indicated in his post-game press conference that Week Thirteen was a “mark date” for many of the team’s injured players to possibly return to action. Safety Bob Sanders is hoping to be one such player.
NBC’s Andrea Kremer reports that Sanders will visit Dr. James Andrews this week in hopes of getting cleared for practice. The Colts have long anticipated Sanders returning at some point this year. Indianapolis figures to be very careful putting Sanders back on the field, so he may have to practice a few weeks.
Other injured Colts that could be returning soon: running back Joseph Addai, wide receiver Austin Collie, linebacker Clint Session, and linebacker Gary Brackett.
