Panthers-Browns one-liners

Browns QB Jake Delhomme couldn’t bear to watch Panthers K John Kasay’s potential game-winning kick Sunday, but Kasay shanked it to give Cleveland the 24-23 win.

Asked about comparisons to Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly, red-hot Browns RB Peyton Hillis replied “That’s just absurd.  Those guys are legends and I’m nobody.”

The Browns need QB Colt McCoy to get healthy.

Browns rookie CB Joe Haden leads the team with four interceptions, including three in his last three games.

Kasay insisted after the game that “everything felt good” on the aforementioned field goal try, but it banged off the left upright and was no good.

The Panthers’ inability to win games this season reminds coach John Fox of the movie “Groundhog Day.”

Panthers RB Mike Goodson may not be losing his starting job anytime soon.

Now 1-10, the Panthers have double-digit losses for the first time in Fox’s tenure.
