Vincent Jackson may be out for a few weeks, but the Chargers offense is still in better shape than it has been all season. Wide receiver Malcom Floyd, tight end Antonio Gates, and Mike Tolbert all practiced for the first time this week Friday.

I’m optimistic all three will be able to play and play en extended part,” coach Norv Turner said, via Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Tolbert’s hand is injured, but he could split carries more than usual this week with rookie Ryan Mathews back in the mix. Mathews is probable to play. Jackson is officially doubtful.

For the Raiders cornerback Chris Johnson is doubtful after missing practice all week, and linebacker Rolando McClain is questionable after missing practice Thursday and Friday with a foot injury. McClain apparently has arthritis, which you don’t usually associate with 21-year-old football players.

Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, tight end Zach Miller, and safety Tyvon Branch are among the questionable players, but they are all expected to play. Wideout Chaz Schilens has a chance to make his first appearance of the year.
