Report: Tardiness may have contributed to Haynesworth deactivation

Albert Haynesworth AP

Updating her report that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan deactivated defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth because he was sick on Friday and didn’t take enough snaps in practice, Kelli Johnson of CSN Washington reports that Haynesworth also was one minute late to practice on Friday.

Coupled with reports that Haynesworth’s tardiness resulted in the deactivation, it appears that Haynesworth was deactivated in part because he showed up for work a minute late on Friday.

Of course, under the Tom Coughlin approach to reality, Haynesworth would have been six minutes late.

Interesting decision given how the Giants are running over and through the Redskins today.

Late is late. I had a boss as a teen that did the same thing. And guess what…once your boss establishes that one minute late is the same as ten minutes late…DON’T BE LATE. Be five minutes early. Set you watch ahead 5 minutes or whatever it takes. Fat Albert just doesn’t have the I.Q. to “get it”. Tom Caughlin is the same way(about being early not about a low I.Q.).
