Chargers-Raiders one-liners

Tom Cable Pic

The Raiders out-rushed the Chargers 251-to-21 in Sunday’s 28-13 win, as San Diego didn’t gain a single first down on the ground.

Raiders RB Darren McFadden rediscovered his early-season form against the Chargers, piling up 97 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

Advanced NFL Stats picked Oakland’s Tom Cable as the NFL’s coach of the week for his aggressiveness on fourth down in Sunday’s victory.

The Raiders’ rushing attack was of the “meat-and-potatoes” variety against the Bolts.

The Chargers’ 21-yard rushing total against the Raiders tied for their seventh lowest in franchise history.

Chargers rookie RB Ryan Mathews was active for the game, but didn’t play a single snap.

After gutting it out again Sunday, Chargers TE Antonio Gates admitted to experiencing severe pain in his injured feet following San Diego’s Week Thirteen loss.

Chargers QB Philip Rivers was “pressured relentlessly” by the Raiders’ underrated pass rush.

I hope the Radiers rout the Jags, someone needs to do it to give our Colts some help or we miss the playoffs. Gotta admit the Black and Silver looked strong against the Bolts.

That was weird watching that game (on NFL Red Zone) and hearing all the Raider fans in the stands. Where were the Charger fans? It sounded like a Raider home game.

If the Raiders can run the ball like that against Indianapolis, they will have an amazing chance at beating them.

I did read elsewhere that Cable said Campbell looked more calm, maybe it’s because he wasn’t looking over his shoulder.
They need to keep running the ball and converting those short third downs. And for god sake, stop with the stupid penalties. They had another 105 penalty yards, but this they overcame it with smart plays. Jags are next

I how the media never watches a Raider game, never prints what is really going on, never mentions the D line has been playing well all year, and they acts like everyone else is underrating the d line.

Faiders? Really? We own Arrowhead!!! Jags, Broncos, Colts then Cheifs. I doubt KC will still be in contention by the time we meet again. Raiders!

  17. bambamraider says: Dec 8, 2010 11:11 PM

First of all AFC West teams without trophies…keep your mouth shut….you don’t have a pedelstal to stand dummy. LOL. Now even KC has a trophy….I think they won it in 1818 or something like that…..

Raider have the Defense to dominate the remainder of the 4 games…the Question is whether or not they’re going to get in thier own way and screw this up. No bigger enemy to the Raiders than the Raiders themselves….

    Just Win Out baby! Please?
