Seahawks-Panthers one-liners

Pete Carroll Pic

After defeating Carolina 31-14 on Sunday, the Seahawks are in good position to win the NFC West.

The Seahawks got a big day from athletic TE Cameron Morrah, with QB Matt Hasselbeck saying he “adds a little speed to our offense.”

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch benefited from impressive blocking, a high volume of touches, and an incompetent Carolina run defense en route to his most productive game with Seattle.

In spite of the victory, the Seahawks emerged from the game with banged-up wideouts.

The Panthers dominated the first half of Sunday’s loss, but were “blown apart at the seams” in the final two quarters.

Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen’s passing produced more touchdowns for Seattle than for Carolina.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart returned to the starting lineup Sunday, and rushed for 92 yards with a touchdown.

Panthers WR Steve Smith’s 39-yard catch against the Seahawks was his longest of the season.
