Thank you for putting andyprough in his place.. Brady carved up the steelers and jets. End of discussion. And yes welker was our offense in 09 because we didn't have anyone else to convert on third downs like he does.. And at home, the pats are big favorites. That's why we haven't lost their since 06 lmfao

Some good points. However, the reason you (Jets Fan(s)) or Rex do not receive compliments is because of the BS that we have been hearing for the past two years. When you brag, mouth off, shoot off, and do not back it up, you can expect plenty of vitriol. Big Mouths are generally disliked as witnessed by the comments from just about every fan base on here. So take you licks and quit complaining. You got what you deserved.

you know what amazes me...most of the people who write about rex's weight are fat themselves..

grow up..

yeah the Jets lost big to the pats..
almost every team in the league has been blown out at one time or another..
so screw you clowns.

its how they act after this blow out..
thats what rex is trying to say..

that if you get blown away.
you learn and come out and play better

both Sanchez and rex are in their second year.
made it to afc championship in their first yr
(backed in whatever)

and are 9-3 thier second year, same as steelers (who lost to the pats) and one better then the Ravens (who also lost to the pats)

in the 2nd yr ...how long has harbaugh and tomlin been head coaches..how long has ben and flacco been qbs?

oh yeah...i still dont hear any crap about those teams...

so yeah they are not as experienced as bill a check and brady

but i guess cause its the despised Jets they dont deserve any compliments only fat jokes.

"The only difference is one safety injured for the Jets. If you really think your Pats are 42 points better than them 7 days a week, you are fooling yourself. Looking at 8 quarters of football, your team won 4 and lost 4. You blew them out in 2 of the quarters, they dominated you in 2 quarters. You get one big injury, and your season is toast, just like the past two years (Brady, Welker)."

I think the real difference is that the patriots young D finally came together and gelled. They've done what it took to beat the Jets, Colts, and Steelers, I don't think they could have done that earlier in the year. Even in the Baltimore and San Diego games, they just got lucky and the oppenents shot themselves. They are playing Patriots December Football. If they come at Chicago 75% as hard as they did NY Cutler will give them the ball all day. (The Bears are awesome but that kids a joke).

People should give due credit to the 2008 team. I think eventually history will notice that they suffered a TON of injuries and aged out players and still lost on tiebreakers into an unusually strong wild card group. The only team that really dominated them was the superbowl bound Steelers, and I doubt the Steelers wanted to play them again (I'm excluding Miami from this because though they won the gimmick game the Pats shattered them later in the season, when it counts more).
They were the second team ever to fail to make the playoff with 11 wins, and those were all won through unusual adversity. I want an NFL films on them dammit. And make sure to point out how bad the O-line was that year.

You know, don't compare Sanchez to Brady!!!
Brady won a SuperBowl in his second year. He has 3 rings, 1 MVP and maybe another on the way? This just pisses me off! Fastest to have 100 wins in history! 26 straight reg. season wins at home. Just broke the Knoll and Bradshaw record for wins and will break Shula's and Marino 119. QB's like Brady come around once in a while. What the hell makes any of you think Sanchez is even in the same stratosphere is dellusional.
I heard the same crap about Romo. There are lumps of coal and then they're diamonds...They both are carbon. One is a gem, the other a lump of coal!
Get back to me when Sanchez has at least 2 rings. Then we can compare him to Rothlesberger. Now he isn't even Matt Cassel.

Yea they did split the season series but that patriots team is completely different then the one now.”

@andyprough
You are wrong. The Jets only blew out the Pats in two quarters (2nd half of game one), but the Pats beat them in the other two and they blew them out in 4 quarters of game two. The Jets were behind when the 3rd quarter started in the first game.

You seem to ignore what everyone else can see. The Patriots are getting better on both offense and defense, and frankly, the Jets do not seem to be playing as well as they did very early in the season.

Certainly if we lose Brady, our season would be in jeopardy, but you really want to compare the value of a future HOF QB, one of the top 5 ever, to a safety? No comparison. The Jets did not lose because their safety got hurt. It didn't help, but he would not have saved them. Besides, stop crying about injuries. EVERY team has them.

Since 2001, the Patriots are 3-1 in Super Bowls.
Rex Ryan, in less than two seasons, is already 3-1in Super Bowls, albeit regular season ones. Plus, how can you knock a guy whose young quarterback is a franchise player, will have 2-3 rings by the end of his Hall of Fame career, and will be in elite company when he wins his first this year?

Bottom line is the Jets are a great team, one of the best ever, if you ignore reality.

"Keep the fat jokes coming..."
I think Rexy was put on this earth to show how far the human skin can stretch without bursting.

I suppose it's possible that Ryan keeps yakking in order to keep the attention off of the play of his team, but I think his overall approach to coaching is fatally flawed. You don't win Super Bowls by talking about them. You focus on your next week's opponent, put 100% of your attention on that game, and when it's over, you repeat the process. Do that well enough for 16 regular season games and you get to do it for at least one more week. That's how it's done. The Jets shouldn't be worried about the Super Bowl, they should be focused on only one thing - the game on Sunday with Miami. But because their fat pant-load coach doesn't understand this, they're gonna spend time and energy this week talking about last week, and how they can still win the Super Bowl, and how they want to play the Pats again. Keep doing that, Jets, and you'll find yourself the owner of a 3 or 4 game losing streak.

Imagine that, a coach that still wants to win and is keeping up the morale of his team up. The comments i read to these articles never cease to amaze me. You guys are like little children waiting to cry about something.

The Jets DID beat the patriots earlier this year.
The Denver Broncos embarrassed the Chiefs just as bad as the Patriots did the Jets, and were able to come back and beat them. Anything can happen this year.

That having been said - I am a Pats fan now and have been for a long time, especially over the last 10 years. We (spoiled) Pats fans are well aware we are living in a golden age and that sooner or later it will end but for now - we have been consistently excellent over the last 10 years, 3 SB titles, now we have the best record in football, we have 22 1st or 2nd year players on the 53 man roster, we have 7 choices in the 1st 4 rounds of next year's draft, we just gave the jets a well-earned butt kicking in front of the whole country (Dandy Don would have LOVED it!) and so I say this:

Bears fans - be afraid. Be VERY afraid - you're next.

In conclusion - The Bears team that kicked the snot out of the Patriots in SBXX was the greatest team I have ever seen. For Ryan to compare his team in ANY way to that team is just plain stupid.

Here is what the Patriots did wrong Monday night:

1) After scoring their final touchdown, Belichick should have ordered the entire team to midfield, lined them up, have them remove their pants, and MOON Rex Ryan!

2)Line-up and attempt an on-side kick that will hopefully be recovered.

3)Bring in Brian Hoyer and execute a play action bomb to Brandon Tate.

4)Go for two instead of PAT

5)Repeat steps 1 to 4.

This is the most interesting and complex mouthing off ever.
Miami won out after that game. Won their division too.
Chicago put up more than 3 points.
The fact that he mentioned the two teams that NE and NYJ are playing this week suggests to me that NE really got in his head this time.
Chicago won out after that game and only gave up 33 points for the rest of the season. (3 games).
NE won the conference that year, beat Miami...So if the Jets are the Bears and they play the Pats in the AFC game this year is that another fictional SB for this clown?
What if the Bears beat the Pats this weekend, do the Jets get an extra win? If NE beats the Bears and Miami beats NYJ this weekend do the Jets still have a winning record, or did the Jets win the Superbowl? Or do the Jets have to become the Patriots to win the Superbowl?
That might work. May work for Woodhead anyway.

"@andyprough

Yea they did split the season series but that patriots team is completely different then the one now."

=================

The only difference is one safety injured for the Jets. If you really think your Pats are 42 points better than them 7 days a week, you are fooling yourself. Looking at 8 quarters of football, your team won 4 and lost 4. You blew them out in 2 of the quarters, they dominated you in 2 quarters. You get one big injury, and your season is toast, just like the past two years (Brady, Welker).

My Steelers trashed the Raiders by 30+ a couple of weeks ago. Do I think the Steelers are 30 points better than the Raiders? Not a chance. If they have to play again in the playoffs, its a whole different game - they will probably be lucky if they can get a win.
