Thank you! Just saw you answered my post about T-Jack. Nice to get a realistic assessment from someone who’s had the opportunity to observe his performance. People keep acting as though, by Favre starting, he’s keeping someone with Rodgers-like talent on the bench. I was pretty sure if that were true, people wouldn’t keep flying to Hattiesburg begging Favre to come back. Great QB talent is hard to come by in the league. That’s why fewer than half the 32 teams have great QBs. Would be surprised if Jackson could take the Vikes to the next level.

It’s obvious to anyone with half a brain that he loves his job. So what if he waffles about whether or not he wants to come back? So what if he doesn’t want to go to camp? Clearly he’s not alone or Goodell wouldn’t be using that as a bargaining chip in negotiating w/the NFLPA for an 18-game season. When he was winning for them, the Pack, Jets, and Vikes fans loved having him around. And granadafan, why don’t you ask his teammates how they feel about him? Anyone can see he’s not hated by most players.

Just find a game where he didn’t throw a pass. Just one. All 297 games he threw at least 14 (I think that was the lowest, and that was 2008?)

Also, I looked at the link provided, and as ditkaditkaditka stated earlier, the fewest attempts in a game for Favre in his career was 10. That’d be hard to accomplish on a single snap from center.

Not taking sides here but Favre only had 1 passing attempt in the last game he started. He left due to injury but he only attempted one pass.

he’s just not a good quarterback. people that haven’t closely followed the vikings through the last 5-6 years don’t seem to get that.

he definitely has his good games here and there and is absolutely a great athlete.

remember how bad the vikings’ offense looked the first few games of the season? a tjack led offense was the same thing…all season long. they once went almost 4 games without a touchdown.

Don’t anyone get me wrong…..I’m not a Favre supporter….his actions and decisions (or lack thereof) are what has tarnished his legacy…no one else is to blame. However, there is no need to make up stories to further villify him.

I will predict that if he doesn’t start, he will retire by going on IR to avoid any consequence of his sexting conduct. Like other Vikings, they feel like the league rules don’t apply in Minnesota and breaking them is fine as long as you don’t have to suffer the consequences. As if 5-7 is suffering enough already.

Brett has been nothing but a Legend, stuck it out in Lambo and won a championship. He has had countless memorable games and countless amazing throws. He has been a great image for the sport for a couple of decades….. and this is how he is treated. Got tossed from Green Bay, betrayed by fans, and know and the end of his career he has to deal with all this BS. Fans questioning his motives, questioning his integrity even his amazing streak.

I for one think he deserves the benefit of the doubt 1000 times over, he’s earned it. These Viking “fans” that are calling for his head are the same fans that sang his praises last year.

Learn to respect the players like Favre that have made the best game in the world as popular as it is. As a die-hard Dolphin fan I remember Marino struggling his last couple of years, though it was tough to watch he had earned the right to play until he decided it was time but Jimmie Johnson didn’t approve. Ended up retiring in an uncomfortable fashion. We havent seen anything close to Marino in our city since. Dont think we will in my lifetime either. But I for one didn’t take it for granted for a second. Neither should you.
