After months of conflicting reports, conjecture, and confusion, Saints running back Pierre Thomas will finally return to the field Sunday against the Rams.
He’s officially probable for the game because of his ankle injury, although the Saints figure to use Chris Ivory and Reggie Bush more.
“We’ll be smart,” Payton said via the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Sunday’s game will be a great test for the underrated Rams defense, because the New Orleans passing attack is operating at a very high level once again.

I have held onto Pierre Thomas all year long. I’ll be curious to see how they work him back into the fold. Ivory has done a decent job but Thomas, when completely healthy, has shown to be a better all around RB.
