It took until the Week 16 slate of games, but the NFL has made a change in the Sunday night schedule with the help of flex scheduling.

Chargers-Bengals has been moved out of the night game on December 26 to 4:o5 et, while Vikings-Eagles will be on Sunday Night Football. Seahawks-Bucs has also be moved to 4:15 on FOX.

Folks are bound to complain that the Vikings aren’t in contention, but Sunday Night’s Eagles-Cowboys game shows that having one popular non-contender doesn’t hurt ratings. Michael Vick versus the Cowboys had the highest overnight ratings in Sunday Night Football history. The Eagles are 5-0 in primetime thus far.

Vick is a huge draw, and Brett Favre always rates even in bad times.

Now the league just has to hope Favre is in the lineup against Philly.
