Heath Miller ready to return to Steelers

Steelers tight end Heath Miller is ready to return to the field on Sunday against the Jets, two weeks after he suffered a concussion on a violent by Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says Miller “has absolutely no symptoms” from the concussion and should be a full participant in practice this week.

Miller is third on the Steelers in catches (33) and receiving yards (384) and had started every game before having to sit out Sunday’s win over the Bengals.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that the Steelers expect to have several players limited in practice this week, including right tackle Flozell Adams (ankle), strong safety Troy Polamalu (ankle), cornerbacks Bryant McFadden (hamstring) and Anthony Madison (knee) and linebacker Keyaron Fox (elbow).

But Tomlin said he thinks the Steelers are in good shape on the injury front, and he added that defensive end Aaron Smith, who suffered a triceps injury in October, is getting healthier and may be able to play in the postseason.
