Averaging 52.5 yards a catch in a win over the Cowboys was enough to make Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson the NFC offensive player of the week.
Jackson caught four passes for 210 yards on Sunday, including a 91-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave the Eagles a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Although Jackson faced some criticism after the game for the way he celebrated that touchdown, the electrifying catch-and-run was one of the best plays of Week 14 in the NFL.
Another one of the best plays was Saints cornerback Malcolm Jenkins’ 96-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Rams. Jenkins has been recognized as the NFC defensive player of the week.
That interception was one of two on the day for Jenkins, who now has two defensive player of the week awards in the last three weeks.
