Signs point towards Matt Cassel’s return

Chiefs coach Todd Haley says quarterback Matt Cassel was limited in practice Wednesday and didn’t know if Cassel would play Sunday.

Cassel said he was “barely” limited and the fact that he took almost all first team snaps bodes very well for his status.  Still, he wouldn’t commit to anything.  He was asked what his chances of playing were.

“Hopefully 99.99999 percent. I don’t really know,” Cassel said via ArrowheadPride.com.  “I can’t give you a percentage.”

We won’t give you a percentage, but we can say it’s way over 50.  What football players and coaches say during the week matters little.  What players do says it all.

Brodie Croyle isn’t taking first-team snaps, so the Chiefs expect him to be the team’s backup quarterback in St. Louis.    It’s as simple as that.  (And it’s very good news for Kansas City’s playoff hopes.)

Especially the ones that just went up along the freeway saying, “Come out and see Matt Cassell and the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Sunday. Limited seating still available.”.

Question is, if he comes back, will he be 100%? Can’t see how 10 days after internal surgery he’ll be able to perform like he did prior, at least not right away. One hit in the right spot, done. Rams will be gunning for his abdomen, its not his head or knees so they can target that area! Put Croyle in there and Rams can scratch out a win no doubt about it.

Theres no way he is gona be healthy enough.. He will play because cheifs are freaking out but one hard hit and he could die.. The NFL better step in if they were smart. My old neibor 6 years ago had the same thing done and he went to play basketball 2 weeks later he got hit by a elbow and almost died.

Just face it cheifs your season is overt and the raiders will be AFC WEST CHAMPS

    Ang Go 9ers on thursday!

    This is a serious surgery.

KC should be ashamed of themselves.

Where’s the NFL and all their safety babble when it counts?

raidersteve413, are you embarrassed at all with your posts? My son learned i before e in the second grade (cheifs, really). Then you spell neighbor as neibor. Not only do you not know football your IQ must be well below double digits! Another illiterate moron!

Um, one small problem Raider Steve … your team is in 3rd place with 2 games to make up and only 3 are left. You have the Chargers number this year but after that you have beat the Chiefs (barely), Broncos, Rams and Seahawks. Not exactly world beaters. There is no way you will beat Indy so your season is over. Chargers have a cakewalk to end the season so if KC loses just one game, the West is San Diego’s because they hold all the tiebreakers vs. KC if they both end up 10-6.

Har…Har…!!!! RaiderSteve you better put down the crackpipe.

Your Faiders should beat the Donks this weekend but then will lose to the Colts & Chiefs
so please…do tell, how they will be AFC West Champs at 7-9?

And your neighbor 6 yrs ago probably didn’t have the best surgeons money could by nor the non-invasive techniques used in 2010 but I digress.

Please tell us how your Faiders will win the Div.

Hey Raider lover. You need to improve your spelling. The Raiders are the AFC West Chumps not the Champs!

lanjoith, THANK YOU!!!!! Chargers smell the blood on Cassel’s abdomen no stopping them now! What would be sweeter is if they won out and they get to play the Jets again, hopefully this time stomp their butts. No crying in football LT and Cro’!
