Fellorio,

Thank you for that excellent piece of psychoanalysis!

Of course those images flash through my mind every time I think of Michael Vick. And no, I don't live in hell, but I don't live in oblivion either. I simply read Vick's allocutuion onlne. It's probably still out there. I addition to admitting to running a dog-fighting ring, he allocuted to killing dogs by drowning them, hanging them and electrocuting them, among other methods. It's pretty dry reading. But what do those dry words actually mean? If you want to kill a dog, you could easily find an number of infinitely more humane ways to do it. What kind of person does what Michael Vick did? And why?

I don't presume to judge Michael Vick. Unlike you, I lack the ability to look into someone's soul. But in order to understand what I read, I had to think about it.

If someone tells you not to think about purple unicorns, you immediately form an image of a purple unicorn in your mind, even though no such creature has ever existed. You have to do this in order to understand the meaning of what you just heard. That's how your brain works.

What Michael Vick did is part of what defines who and what Michael Vick is. That's why we keep having this discussion. Having read what he confessed to, those images are part of the image that flashes through my mind whenever I hear the name 'Michael Vick'. I find those images disturbing, so I don't watch the Eagles anymore.

You obviously found my previous post disturbing enough to write a reply. Well, guess what? Now that you've read it, those images will be part of what flashes through your mind every time you hear the name 'Michael Vick' too.

ENJOY!

I work with and rescue animals every single day - that is what I do for a living!

I love how all of you Eagles fans try to justify our hatred of this man because of jealousy. I know you've heard this many many times a day but you are amazingly wrong. I wouldn't trade places with this waste of space at any price!!! He has a soul that is as dark and empty as any person on this planet and even with all of his millions - he is still nothing but a thug that gains enjoyment out of torturing, fighting, and butchering innocent animals!!! There is NO rehab for that type of behavior or mentality.

I will try to type it out nice and slow so you'll understand, being an Eagles fan and all -

Does mike the dog slaughterer deserve a second chance to redeem himself in the world - Absolutely!

Does mike the dog slaughterer deserve a second chance to play football in the NFL - Absolutely!

Does mike the dog slaughterer deserve a second chance to own another animal dog - Absolutely NOT!

I have no problem with mike the dog slaughterer being successful in other aspects of his world. He is human garbage in my book and when he pops up on TV - I just hit the mute button because I could care less what this scumbag has to say! However, when it comes to what he did to those animals - there is no forgiveness and there is no second chance! The only reason he is attempting to show remorse has nothing to do with actually thinking he did anything wrong - it was just because he got caught!

I suggest you aren't passionate enough. Instead of wasting your time on comments, go out and actually DO SOMETHING for your beloved cause.
Running a puppy mill does not make you king of all animals. You are just so much better of a human than most people, take solace in that Lassie boy.
I've got 2 wonderful dogs myself and treat them like family. Would I have Mike Vick over for dinner? No. Would I pal around with him before or after his conviction? No.
But criminals that pay their due get a chance at re employment. Just so happens this guys employment is QB in the NFL and you have to see him all the time in your pathetic life. Vick makes you very jealous because he can make millions at his job and you beg for donations. Bottom line.
Go write your congressman if you feel he needs more punishment. Your beef is with our countries laws, not with Vick or Eagles fans. The law is the law. Now go wash Ol Yeller

@kolbfan - thanks! I am hanging out with our rescues as I type. Its a great environment to work in. You, on the other hand, can continue slogging through your empty existence with a small glimmer of light that your blessed Eagles will win and bring a bit of joy to your dismal life. By all means continue to slobber all over mike the dog slaughterer's johnson and worship the ground he oozes over. I absolutely thank you for again illustrating why hanging out with animals is so much more rewarding than hanging out listening to ignats like yourself attempt to cement together and toss out insignificant burps and fragments of intellect. The piles of gifts left behind by our rescues have twice the intelligence and depth you posses. But hey, I'm sure you'll still be a mike the dog slaughterer fan long after he loses that last game and moves on to a better paycheck somewhere else!

Kennel owners who like the NFL are about .9% of the population.
I understand you're still upset and feel the penalty paid by law was not what you feel is personally correct.
I suggest you take matters in your own hands and go picket everywhere Vick is. (That worked for like a day, ask PETA)
Waaah Waaah Waaah He didn't pay his debt enough for you
Move on and go clean your kennel or something

@alb999 - Amazingly well put!!! As a person who is in the animal rescue and shelter world, the image of what mike the dog slaughterer did on a regular basis to these beautiful, innocent animals turns my stomach and will never be forgotten. The only reason he is still not doing it on a daily basis is because they were incredibly arrogant and less covert. Somebody that can inflict this type of pain, misery, viciousness, evil, and torture on another living being, all for the simple reason of their own entertainment, is nothing more than a sociopath who doesn't deserve a second chance in this arena! I could care less if this worthless lowlife goes on to be the greatest quarterback in the history of football - he can never be rehabilitated when it comes to his attitude towards and the treatment of animals and should be barred forever from owning another one.

I used to be an Eagles fan -- up until the day they hired Michael Vick. The reason is that I watch football for entertainment, and I don't find the images that flash through my mind whenever I hear Michael Vick's name to be entertaining.

What images? Well, imagine getting up every day and beating your dog throughout the day and shocking it repeatedly with a cattle prod in order to 'improve' its disposition. Then imagine putting your dog in a pit with another dog for the sole purpose of watching them tear each other apart as you wager on the outcome. Then imagine that your dog isn't a very good fighter, so you put it in a laundry bag and hold it under water while it squirms desparately until it has drowned. But wait, that wasn't enough fun, so the next time you feel the need to kill a dog, you tie a rope around its neck and hang it from a tree limb and watch as it struggles frantically for air until it has choked to death. Ah, but that wasn't enough fun either, so the next time, you tie your dog up and hook it up to a generator and watch as it spasms helplessly with steam coming out of its ears and its eyes popping out of its head until it's dead.

Those are the kind of images that flash through my mind every time I think of Vick. So I don't watch the Eagles anymore. Maybe other people have less of an imagination than I do.

Perhaps Vick can change. But who cares?

Then imagine putting your dog in a pit with another dog for the sole purpose of watching them tear each other apart as you wager on the outcome. Then imagine that your dog isn’t a very good fighter, so you put it in a laundry bag and hold it under water while it squirms desparately until it has drowned. But wait, that wasn’t enough fun, so the next time you feel the need to kill a dog, you tie a rope around its neck and hang it from a tree limb and watch as it struggles frantically for air until it has choked to death. Ah, but that wasn’t enough fun either, so the next time, you tie your dog up and hook it up to a generator and watch as it spasms helplessly with steam coming out of its ears and its eyes popping out of its head until it’s dead.

Those are the kind of images that flash through my mind every time I think of Vick. So I don’t watch the Eagles anymore. Maybe other people have less of an imagination than I do.

Perhaps Vick can change. But who cares?

Thanks for leaving out the creditability piece at the bottom. Anyone can write a random article on the internet. However just because someone writes it, doesn't mean it's true.

This tells me everything I need to know
“According to officials, investigators and police, Vick is classified as a sociopath.”
Whenever I meet a person whose actual name is official, Investigator, or Police, then I’ll take this article seriously, until then it’s just another random rant on the internet without any credibility.

Thanks for the Google search, I can do it too. Given we live in the land of second chances, Vick has gone from zero to hero

The Eagles are doomed forever. Even when McNabb is long gone and forgotten.. They will pay for getting rid of him. Their best player in history. Why should they ever expect to be better than 5 nfc championship games and no rings???

STFU. Eagles are clearly better without him. And what exactly is he doing in DC? Nothing. His carreer is over soon and you're thinking because we brilliantly traded him, the entire future of the franchise is doomed? Even after he is gone and forgotten? WTF? Wow. This line of thinking was popular like, pre season. Please don't watch the rest of the Eagles games and switch to the Redskins and tell your McNabb family we don't miss him a bit cause he brought us NOTHING.
If Birds were 3-10 right now you would have an arguable point. Or even if the Redskins were in the playoff hunt now you might have a point there as well. But unfortunately all you have is your retarded opinion.
Also, your post contains nothing about the topic. Go rage on the Redskins forum you dope

Wow, check this out....

"According to officials, investigators and police, Vick is classified as a sociopath. Apparently, he was an anomaly even among the most brutal of animal fighters. According to one investigator, confirmed by police officials, Micheal Vick threw his own family pet into "the pit", between 2 dogs to encourage the dogs to fight. The instigating animal, usually a kitten or a smaller dog in Vick's case (his own family's pet), is left for dead or alive."
