Tebow time approaches: Orton doesn’t throw again

T. Tebowhair

Broncos interim head coach Eric Studesville won’t say the words that will get Tebow Nation and Raider Nation excited.

Studesville won’t say it, so we will: Tim Tebow is likely to start at quarterback for the Broncos Sunday. We’re not basing this on any inside information, but Kyle Orton didn’t throw for a third consecutive day at Broncos practice Friday, according to the Denver Post.

Guys who don’t throw three straight days almost never start on Sunday. Orton is struggling with a rib injury, and Tebow has taken the majority of first-team reps during the week.

It makes sense Studesville hasn’t declared a starter. Preparing for Tebow would be very different than Orton from the Raiders’ perspective.

We can’t help but think Josh McDaniels is sitting somewhere, wistful that he never got the chance to see what Tebow could do in the regular season.
