The intentional grounding call on Brees was atrocious as well. Not to say it cost the Saints the game, or anything. But it was clear the Refs weren’t going to call it until Suggs and other Ravens begged for the call. They didn’t even throw the flag for 20-30 seconds after the play ended.
Brees was out of the pocket and the pass made it past the line of scrimmage.

---------------------------------------------------------

Were you watching the same game ? The pass landed 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage.....

RE: No flag for Flacco

With the new rough play rules there is a growing trend among players to beg for and expect those 15 yard penalties.

I agree with the intent of the rules to protect the players, however the players are starting to act like soccer players who take dives.

Shut up and play tackle football. Stop whining for a call to give you an advantage you didn’t deserve.

---------------------------------------------------------

You must have been watching another game, because if you had been watching the game you would have wondered where a flag was as well. Flacco NEVER calls for flags. But when a player comes in, leads with the helmet and plants his forearm into the back of the QB's helmet while he is on the ground and there is no call then that is sad.... When Flacco is so animated which he never is about anything then you have to think he might have a point. If he cried about calls constaintly then i would completly understand people bashing him for it, but this is the first time i can ever remember him calling out the officials over any call, not just a roughing call.

PS: go back and watch it again ( if you have even watched it ) the defender commited to the tackle AFTER Flacco's knees had hit the ground..... sounds like a bad call, but hey they happen. I am just glad it did not cost them the game!

Flacco also after he was sacked and on the ground got a knee to the head from the second defender piling on. This is not a cry for a flag were a hand grazed the helmet.

This was propaby the most animate I ever saw Flacco. It even looked like his lips formed the "mofo" word ... totall out of character ...

as for one of the biggest wins the Harbaugh had with the Ravens ... how about beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh, how about the Pats in NE in the playoffs, how about three on the road wins in the playoffs with a 1st and 2nd year rookie QB... all of those are certainly better than a regular season win against the Saints who have not won against the Ravens in some years as I recall.

Um, did you see the play, Flacco was already down & here comes this nimrod flying in & spears him in the back a few seconds after the play. Flacco isn't like Brady or Manning, but that was bad. Now Brees got a call that was atrocious, nothing close to roughing the passer. I guess Saints fans missed that 1!

Who Dat? Who cares! Saints talked smack all week about the Ravens, but we see who got smacked in the end!

GO RAVENS!!!

The flag on will smith in the 4th qtr was atrocious ,so much so they wouldn't show it again on the replay. If they wanna hand out some fines they should start giving them for terrible calls.
And what's with having a former ravens coach with an obvious bias call the game, billick was on thier nuts the whole time.
