Favre doesn’t regret getting back on the field

After starting 297 consecutive times, Brett Favre has now been knocked out of back-to-back games.

He says he doesn’t regret playing Monday night or the circumstances that led to him surprisingly being upgraded from “out” to questionable. Favre texted interim head coach Leslie Frazier Sunday night with his change of heart.

“I told [Frazier], ‘I don’t want to put you in an awkward situation but I’d like to [play],’” Favre said via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “What changed? To be honest with you, I didn’t know if I could throw until I went out in pregame.”

Favre’s throws looked fine in the game, but now he has to worry about his concussion. We’re going to really try to stay light on the Favre news this week (promise) before Sunday night’s game against the Eagles. Even Favre wouldn’t guess his status.

“With this concussion, based on the time, based on my decision-making, I probably shouldn’t tell you one way or another right now,” Favre said.
