1. Cassell is doing well and an MVP candidate by one definition. But he is still not on a 12 win team, nor is he lighting up the stat sheet like he did out of nowhere in NE.
2. Of course it counts. I just prefer the eye test when judging anything. Vick clearly is the best offensive player this year. The difference between Vick and Brady’s w-L’s is minimal this year, so that’s not a good measuring stick. Vick didn’t play or didn’t play poorly in their losses but Brady did when NE lost. My original comment was for people going ape s*it crazy over Brady, whom is top 5 IMO, but I also think he has greatly benefited from a system a lot of qb’s could thrive in.

I wouldn’t have hard time with either one receiving the nod. Besides, I know Tom Brady only cares about one trophy, and it’s not given, it’s earned. And if you asked him about the MVP he’d more than likely indicate he had little interest in it, with a bigger prize looming.

If Brady hoists that big silver thing at the end of the year little else matters and the haters and debaters will have nothing to say.
