Peterson looking good for Sunday night; Favre doubtful

A. Peterson2

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre hasn’t passed the necessary post-concussion tests to be cleared to play this week and seems very unlikely to suit up Sunday night.  The Vikings aren’t going to make the mistake of listing him as out again, though.

Favre was listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report.  Last week, the team had him out all week until a random day-of-game upgrade when he changed his mind.  He’ll need to complete post-concussion league procedures to have a chance this time.

Joe Webb will likely get the call at quarterback, but it wouldn’t be a shock if Patrick Ramsey got some action.  It also looks like the Vikings will get running back Adrian Peterson back in the mix.

“[Peterson] was able to do some things and feel pretty good about the fact he’ll probably make it,” interim coach Leslie Frazier said via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “I think he’ll probably make it.”

Peterson is officially questionable with his thigh injury.

I would like to see Peterson actually carry the team to a victory. Even more, I would like to see an O-line that acturally opened a hole for the man to run through.

Damn, I actually wish Favre was playing. It would give the Eagles a better chance of winning.

Exactly, this Oline is absolutely atrocious. If it wasn’t for the fact that he is Adrian Peterson he would be under 1000 yards on the season.

If Patrick Ramsey can’t beat out Webb, he needs to find another line of work. Looking at the Vikings this year, I think there are a number of them that need to find a new occupation.

Fortunately, McKinnie can re apply as a police officer, he already knows how to swing a club, AD can be a Nascar driver since 100 mph qualifies as a Sunday drive for him. Jared Allen can join the Redneck Comedy tour and Favre has a bright future as an Extenze spokesperson with his before and after pix.
