Patriots, Jets travel plans change

Bears Vikings Football

The Patriots can celebrate their No. 1 seed in the AFC overnight in Rochester.   The Jets will get to spend some extra time in Chicago after their loss to the Bears.

The AFC East foes were forced to change their travel plans Sunday after their games because of the big snowstorm in the Northeast.

It’s uncertain when the teams will be able to fly home.  It’s possible the delays could affect both teams’ plans to use their starters next week.  Jets coach Rex Ryan already said he’ll consider resting his players, including Mark Sanchez after the Jets clinched their playoff spot.

The Giants will also spend the night in Green Bay after their game.

    Hey, the Jets got a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket into the playoffs again! Shocking!

    I imagine Rex is happy to just get his FOOT in the playoff door. Maybe in KC for the first playoff game he’ll be able to find some fine gentlemen to 3 Hole his wife.

    Congratulations to the Patriots and their fans from this Chargers fan.

    Patriots are the best team in the entire league this year, and it’s not even really that close.

    I predict you guys to beat Atlanta in the Super Bowl.

    Philadelphia could be a challenge for you if they make it to the bowl, but I see them losing in the playoffs.

    @blackass3

    How’d the Jets get a golden ticket? They won 10 games so far? More than the Colts and about 25 other teams? Did the Chiefs get a golden ticket because the Chargers lost? Did the Packers get one because the Giants lost?

    Where’d you play your college ball? Fantasy Island Junior College for the Criminaly Insane?

    OK, Patriots. You may have demolished the Bills today. But if you’re going to spend the night in Rochester, I really hope you go to Nick Tahou’s or Steve T.’s, and grab a Garbage Plate. May as well get some quality food to celebrate your division title.

    (At some point, I’d like the Bills to be able to win one of these games…)

    Holy crap Rosenthal the Jets didn’t “clinch” anything. They lost and backed in because the Jags lay down and didn’t take care of business. Losing is not “clinching” anything.

    Jets and Ryan will get 3-holed in round one.

    If NE remembers what happened to Wes Welker a year ago, I guarantee nobody who starts plays in the game.

    Hope Rexy’s wife is with him..Otherwise he misses out on his sunday night foot job…

    Then again, Sanchez can always take her place.

    Thank you for the gracious comment.

    No offense but I’m glad your team lost today, as a Pats fan the Chargers were the team I feared the most, they are a bad match-up for the Patriots.

    Better luck next year.

    @harryson’snitwit2

    How is winning 10 games backing in? I can see losing 8 games as “backing out”. Every team in the league has a goal of making the playoffs. There is no backing in. You’re just “in” or “out”.

    When are you “coming out”…

    …of the closet?
