Texans-Broncos one-liners

The Broncos opened up their playbook for rookie QB Tim Tebow in the second half of Sunday’s 24-23 win over the Texans.

The Broncos benched LB Mario Haggan Sunday so that LB Wesley Woodyard could get into the starting lineup.

Champ Bailey suffered a heel injury in Sunday’s loss, which may end the contract-year cornerback’s career as a Bronco.

With RB Knowshon Moreno (ribs) in and out of the game, RB Correll Buckhalter picked up the slack with two touchdowns and 92 all-purpose yards against Houston.

Admitted Texans coach Gary Kubiak after yet another late-game collapse, “If you can’t stop somebody in a half of football, you don’t deserve to win.”

While Texans fans aren’t, Broncos fans are supportive of Kubiak.

With WR Andre Johnson (ankle) inactive Sunday, TE Owen Daniels stepped up as the Texans’ go-to receiving target over the middle.

Texans WR Jacoby Jones, meanwhile, starred in the deep threat role with 115 receiving yards on five receptions.

When the Panthers lost earlier in the day, Studesville the Stabber and Wink the Fink received permission from Elway, Ellis, and Bowlen to try to win the game. “Oh what the heck, why not?” was the conclusion they came to.

The Champ Baily comments appears inaccurate in that the Broncos won, or Kubiak was extremely skilled in covering up his incompetence.

The article you linked to clearly states that Haggan was moved to outside linebacker so Woodyard could start on the inside. It was Jason Hunter who was benched. Sheesh.
