The Broncos plan to be more “deliberate” in their head coaching search than they were two years ago when they hired Josh McDaniels, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Part of the process will include an interview with current interim head coach Eric Studesville.
The organization clearly likes Studesville, who has gone 1-2 since taking over for McDaniels. Still, the former running backs coach looks like an extreme long shot to get the permanent job.
Before the Broncos hire anyone, they need to finalize the structure above the head coach. A contract with John Elway to join the organization looks like the first step to that process.
