With John Elway taking over in Denver this week, the Broncos officially said goodbye to their last savior.
The Denver Post writes that the team has reached a termination settlement with former head coach Josh McDaniels. Adam Schefter first reported the news last week.
This news should free up McDaniels to find a job elsewhere, likely as an offensive coordinator. There has been speculation from multiple reports that McDaniels could end up in Kansas City.
The Todd Haley-McDaniels HandshakeGate may not be that big a deal, but Haley being an offensive coach seems like a bigger issue. Charlie Weis is reportedly leaving for Florida in large part because he didn’t have autonomy to run the Chiefs offense.

The funny thing is that you PFT guys made it into a big deal. Football is an emotional game. Right after the loss Haley was pissed. More importantly he was embarrassed. Stop making creating controversy where it doesn’t exist.
Haley is a jerk! Wiess and Pioli and Crennel worked for Belichick for years!!! Won 3 SuperBowls…..
I wonder if Scott would still hire Haley, again???
I hate Haley.
If Weiss is leaving because Haley had too much input into the offense, what makes you think Josh “little napoleon” McDaniels could handle working with Haley?
Well who is more responsible for the Cassel-Bowe connection this season?
Haley was a WR coach and if Bowe was his handiwork, he stays.
McD is a d-bag as a HC…but I would take him as an OC in Miami under Sparano or Cowher…as long as he can get along with Marshall. (Henne needs some help)
