Jets treat Week Seventeen like preseason game

Darrelle Revis Pic

The New York Jets have clinched a Wild Card playoff spot, and will use their Week Seventeen matchup with the Bills as an opportunity to rest up for the postseason. They’ve deactivated quite a few key players.

Inactive for the Jets: Running backs Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson, cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, safeties James Ihedigbo and Eric Smith, and offensive tackle Damien Woody.

Kellen Clemens is the third quarterback. Look for Mark Sanchez to start, play a few possessions at most, and then give way to Mark Brunell.

Joe McKnight is expected to lead the Jets in carries.

On Buffalo’s side, Ryan Fitzpatrick (knee) is listed as the third quarterback. Brian Brohm will get the start, and be backed up by rookie Levi Brown.

The rest of the Bills’ inactives: Defensive tackle Kellen Heard, wide receivers David Nelson and Donald Jones, defensive tackle John McCargo, offensive tackle Ed Wang, offensive lineman Colin Brown, and tight end Mike Caussin.
