We noted yesterday that Dolphins linebacker Cameron Wake said he didn’t care about leading the league in sacks. That’s good, because he doesn’t anymore.
Wake entered Week 17 with 14 sacks, most in the NFL. But Chiefs outside linebacker Tamba Hali, who entered today with 12 sacks, recorded 2.5 in the first half. Hali now leads the league with 14.5 sacks.
Through the first half of the Dolphins’ game against the Patriots, Wake doesn’t have any sacks, so he’s still at 14. Falcons defensive end John Abraham, who entered today in second place with 13 sacks, also has none so far today.
Tennessee’s Jason Babin, Green Bay’s Clay Matthews and Dallas’s DeMarcus Ware all entered Week 17 with 12.5 sacks and all play later this afternoon.
UPDATE: Wake did not record a sack, so Hali ends the season ahead of Wake on the sack list.

Even as a Raiders fan, Hali was definitely the biggest pro-bowl snub this year.
