Still waiting to hear ONE example from you, huejackson.

To the poster who said that it was the Giants defense that won that SuperBowl; that defense was solid, but it was clearly Eli Manning and the offense that came back and won it at the end. New England had taken the lead from the Giants defense, and then ...... the rest of that sentence still makes me sick.

Damn Manning and David Tyree.

yes coughlin stuck his nose in. he is always was a control freak exactly why he kept tim lewis and sheridan all season ruining those seasons. then pulled it on an enraged fewell. and coughlinvslinked away with his tail between his legs.

sorry but i never heard handley, a-rod, dave brown, kerry collins, etc. ever tell fans who pay thousands for seat licenses and hundreds for each ticket "to kiss my @ss".

coughlin has disgraced this team. screams and singles out a punter in front of 80,000 people and millions on tv like a rank amateur coach now tells fans to kiss his behind.

giants under wellington mara were a class organization.

this old freak is out of control and drunk with power.

tisch should step in and do what is needed - fire him immediately.

@xtbc…
the Giants beat jacksonville, they were plus .500,

so how how do you make it to two championship games with Jacksonville and not win a playoff game?

get your facts straight.

---------------------

Get MY facts straight? How about you look in the mirror?

Jacksonville was 8-8 or in english language not over .500.

And I repeat since the YEAR 2000 to the year 2010, Coughlin did NOT win a playoff game in 9 of those years, he did not coach one of those 11 years and with Spagnuolo's defense winning 4 playoff games in 2007 that was the only year of the last 10 he coached that he even won a playoff game.

I love how touchy E Girl fans get when you throw it in their face that they never won a Super Bowl..It instantly hits a nerve every time… I guess I would be really touchy about the subject too if my team was one of the 5 or 6 teams that haven’t ever hoisted the Lombardi Trophy despites being around all 45 years..Being in the company of the Browns, Bengals, Lions, Cardinals, Bills etc would SUCK! Especially when the other teams in the division have combined for 11 Super Bowls.. I keep bringing it up because the fact that we just won one a few years ago makes it easier to get over a season or 2 of falling short and not reaching expectations..But that is something Philthy E Girl fans dont understand..

^^^

Keep living in the past buddy. And if the Eagles win on Sunday? Are you gonna crawl back under the rock you came from?

Im not touchy about it, the arugment isnt even an argument. When that is the topic of discussion, I will stay out of it. I have nothing for ya.

But its sad that that is all you got to cover up the fact your team has choked big time since that LUCKY season.

Again, enjoy the games this weekend, youll be getting just as many snaps as any Giants player !!!

dont count on coughlin even being there next time they play either in a shortened lockout season or next year.

we've publicly seen in the last part of the season 3 blowups concerning this old man now out of control. a class organization doesn't need a head coach telling their customers who dont approve of his performance and pay thousands for PSLs and tickets "that they can line up and kiss his old ass"! Nor do they need their coach who says "we win or lose as a team" run out onto the middle of the field in front of 80,000 fans live and millions on TV and start screaming at the punter as if it was him alone who lost that game.

Fewell in the 2nd Dallas game enraged after Felix Jones ran that screen pass from Kitna into the endzone , Fewell ran at Coughlin screaming in anger obviously because Coughlin went over Fewell's head and changed the coverage.

Coughlin just shot himself in the other foot this time - he won't be standing for long

pedsaregoodforsports -Let me know when the Eagles win a Lombardi Trophy there princess… Till then they are the perennial over achievers in the season and choke artists in the Payoffs..So You’ve won 6 straight over the Giants..Big Deal..The Giants won 9 straight vs the Eagles from 97-01, it happens..At least the Giants with Coughlin and Eli have proven the can win the big one, something Andy “Cheese Steak” Reid and Michael “Captain K9″ Vick will never do.. I cant wait till the Eagles get Punked out on Sunday at home in Philthadelphia in front of all their battery Chucking, mouth breathing, Camaro driving, Mullet wearing, Santa Booing, loser ass Fans!!!

^^^^

Why would I waste my time? Because then it will be the third grade argument " We got more than you do, nah nah nah nah nah nah" blah blah blah bullsh**. Yeah 97-01, ten years ago, again I bet those were real comforting when AGAIN the Eagles whipped the Giants twice this year, capped off by a historic collapse and choke job. Please bro, you need to look in the mirror and face the fact your team punked out the last two seasons down the stretch.

GB has had a TON of injuries, but they still blew out the Giants and they didnt cry about it.

Its never Eli's fault. Gimme a break. He road the coattails of a defense that had God on their side for one season. He STINKS and is over rated because of his name. As one person put it, hes a famous Rex Grossman. LOL.

Have fun wachin the other teams in the playoffs this year along with the rest of the Giants team and fan base.

But I guess you could put in the DVD of the SB a few years ago. That should ease the pain.

brintfatre- you are a typical Clueless Eli hater..Let me know when you actually start to watch Football games and We'll talk..Eli was the SB MVP and is the first QB in the storied History of the NYG to throw for 4000 yds in back to back years..This in a run first offense that plays many games in bad weather..Is he Peyton, Brady, Brees or Rogers? Hell no, but comparing him to the stiff that is Rex Grossman is complete ignorance..
Nice look at Coughlin with his players LOL

I'll admit my desire to see Coughlin leave the Giants was purely selfish. I'm still fond of Cowher and would like to see him get a good team in the NFC as far removed from regular competition with the Steelers as possible. Most comments on PFT reflect self-interest and team allegiance, but heaven forbid people admit it.

The players seem pretty loyal to Coughlin and most of the fans seem happy to keep him. It's good that the Maras are not knee-jerk people who kick a guy to the curb at the first sign of problems. We've got a division winner with a worse record than the Giants. Despite late season meltdowns this year, Coughlin is only three years removed from a Super Bowl. He deserves another shot.

Wonder where that leaves Cowher ...

Manning didn't win the Superbowl for the Giants the Defense did and everybody knows it.

And, if it weren't for Manning the Giants would still be in the hunt this season.

With the soft out of division schedule and the complete collapse of both the Cowboys and Redskins organizations Manning's QB rating should be high. Face it, Eli is a celebrity Rex Grossman. It's a good thing for him he was famous before hand...

BTW- Coughlin was thrilled to accept all the praise for stopping Tiki Barber’s fumble, how is it he couldn’t teach any of these running backs and others not to fumble? Or maybe Coughlin really had absolutely nothing to do with Tiki’s improvement – it was all on his weight training and the strength he gained!

Not completely true. Coulghin and the Running Backs coach insisted the Tiki carry the ball differently - which slowed his speed, but kept his hands on the ball. His strength and conditioning helped bring his speed up again. It was a joint effort, but Tiki even said in a interview that he didn't want to carry the ball differently but the coach made him.

LOL@ Mad5555!!! Coughlin has done more in 7 years with the Giants then your entire Franchise has done in the last 50 years!!! He’s already won a SB, while the Philthadelphia EGirls have yet to EVER win one..They get to the playoffs every year and then Fall flat on their face.. While the Giants trophy case has 3 Lombardi Trophies, the Egirls only has a few cans of chunky soup from when McPuke was leading your franchise to short of the promise land..Enjoy getting punked By the Packers this weekend! Enjoy having a Dog killing, Gamling ring running felon as the face of your franchise and yet another year of no Super Bowl!!!

^^^^

LOL at YOU, moron. Its always so easy to pick out the fraud football fans and thos who know nothing about the game when the best they got is "how many superbowls have you won?".

Its a totally irrelevant argument sincce the topic of SB's was not brought up. He said the Eagles own the Giants, and if you look at the last, what, eight meetings, INCLUDING in the oh so important playoffs, the Eagles have how many wins? Oh what they won them all?

WELL THEN I GUESS THE EAGLES DO OWN THE GIANTS, DONT THEY NUMBNUTS?

You wanna discuss titles, fine Giants win. BUT, in recent meetings, (which was the topic here) the Eagles win hands down.

To hide behind PAST glory to cover up the fact the Eagles have been beating on the Giant the last however many years and to cover up the ineptitude of your team is not only moronic and irrelevant, its PATHETIC and shows just how little football knowledge you have.

Im sure those past titlles were real comforting when Desean Jackson was running up the sideline and basically ending your teams season. Your team choked, has NO heart, and are frauds.

In past years, they have been great. Kudos. But most recently, when it matters, you know the PRESENT TIME, they have STUNK.

Oh yeah... Eli is a Quarterback Diva who can't be coached. Whatever! Your absolutely way off base here Brintfatre. You forget the Giants won a superbowl with Eli. He also was 4th in the NFL in passing touchdowns and 5th in passing yards. Sure throws picks. So did Peyton and Brees this year. How many of those were off tipped passes or receivers running the wrong routes? Their were a lot of injuries to the WR core this year. Besides, who would you consider a viable trade or rookie candidate who could come in and win a superbowl next season?

For those of you blaming Manning for Coughlin's failure, Giants ha Chris Palmer a very capable man as Eli's QB coach but he mysteriously retired then became a UFL coach so who did Coughlin replace him with?
In the 3 prior Giants games before the Eagles-Giants 2nd meeting a week and a half ago, Bradshaw and Jacobs averaged over 6.8 yards per carry. In the 2 games before that Eagles visit, Bradshaw and Jacobs combined, gained 200 yards or over in each of those games. In that Eagles game that followed those 3 excellent running displays, Bradshaw and Jacobs combined then for 100 yards on 31 carries vs. Philadelphia and in the Packers game the pair combined for 78 yards on 20 carries. Totals for the 2 games SINCE a huge change was made by Coughlin - 178 yards on 51 carries or a difference of 3.5 yards per carry less after Coughlin's changes. Which is 3.3 yards per carry down from previous 3 games.

So what did Coughlin do? He changed 3/5 of the positions on that o-line that to me at least looked better than I'd seen it in years.

#1- He reinserts O'Hara who had missed 8 straight games, several weeks did little if anything in practice, for the most important game of the year and you saw it yourself he was not fit, not sharp and maybe still hurting, he was outplayed from the word go and including in Green Bay as well.

#2- Moved Seubert who did an outstanding job at center to guard.

#3- Moved Diehl who quite frankly is best at guard and now is a terrible left tackle as you've seen what Peppers and others did to him there, Coughlin moved Diehl back to left tackle.

#4- Benched Beattie who had done a great job as the young man is finally getting a chance to play.

The numbers don't lie, your own eyes don't lie, these changes Coughlin made to the o-line because of his
"great sense of loyalty" in this case O'Hara(surprise, surprise O'Hara defends Coughlin) this loyalty just like Coughlin's defending of Tim Lewis, of Sheridan, even of Dodge, of Quinn( it is 2 years NOT just this year of Quinn's terrible special teams), etc. are exactly why Coughlin should be asked politely by Giants management to retire gracefully

brintfatre -Really? You mean the Qb that threw 32 TD’s and over 4000 yds despite 6 of his top7 WR’s going down to injury and 5 of them including Steve Smith going to IR? The Qb who had a musical chairs of Offensive Lineman going on in front of him all year with 10 dif guys having to play because of all the injuries there as well? Yes he struggled with Turnovers , but who wouldn’t under those circumstances? I know Eli isnt a top 5 Qb, but he is a lot better than the haters give him credit for…
------------------------
That's a darn good post there. I'm not an Eli fan by any stretch of the imagination. I do believe he is over-rated but I think his problem comes down to consistency. One game he'll play like a HOFer then the next like a pop warner. He does have the skills and can win games. There is no doubt about that. Being a Viking fan he would be the best option they have right now (then again that's not sayng much). But when it comes down to it Eli isn't as bad as some make him out to be. He's not a top 5 QB but I would say definitely top 10. I think he had so muhc expected of him because of his brother that people tend to misinterprete Eli's skills. Like I stated, I'm not a big fan but I do give credit where it's due.

yeah he “won” a superbowl after a 10 win season. spare me. the entire nfl has already forgotten about that because of how badly the giants have choked at every chance they got to return to the big game. they have a very good defense, a very good run game, a very good oline, and a spectacular corps of WRs….but i guarantee you this much: as long as eli is at the helm and coughlin is coaching, they will never even sniff the superbowl again. EVER.

-------------------------------------------------
2008: We were headed back to the big dance, Plaxico shoots himself, we don't have any WR to pick up his production. We go out first game in the playoffs.
2009: Defense coached by new defense coordinator plays horrible, even when Eli has his best year. Defensive injuries play a part in the downfall.
2010: Defense play is better then what it was, yet Oline problems, RB issues, and WR injuries plague the offense. Even with all this Eli becomes only the 2nd QB in Giants history to throw 30 TDs in a season.Horrible special teams play kills games as well.

So I wouldn't say choked, but we haven't done as well as we could've. I still think you're right in that the Giants are strong in a lot of areas. I wouldn't call the WR corps spectular, cause once you get past Nicks, smith, and maybe manningham everyone else is kinda vanilla. Plus all these guys tend to have their own issues: smith isn't a good deep runner, Nicks has route issues, and Manningham has route issues as well along with ball security issues.

The major problem season after season is their lackluster special teams play. Very few touchbacks, bad kick coverage, and what used to be good punting has been replaced by subpar performances. I hope they get a new special teams coach because the one they have now is putting a lot of pressure on the Defense and Offense.

If you watch that Eagles game they had favorable field position all game. It's no wonder they came back and won it.

"ALL of his league leading 24 INTs were his receiver’s fault….ROTFLMAO"

At least 8 were. That means only 16 were on Eli. But lets see Eli was 5th in yardage, 4th in TD passes, 9th in yards per attempt and percentage, 10th in yards per game. Not to mention has yet to miss a game in his career and doesn't play in a pass heavy offense. So yeah Eli is a top 10 QB.

This guy is a great coach. The media hates him because he dont take their crap and wont give them face time. He must of snubed NBC or dungy hates him thATS PFT attacks him alot.

You need to remember this guy took over the Jags and came real close to bringing them to the superbowl and that jags team was defintly the best team in the NFL i think it was in 98.
---------------------------------
I have to disagree with you there. The Vikings (although they didn't win the superbowl) were the best team in the NFL in 1998. That team kicked everyone's ass including the Jags in a lopsided game of 50-10 I believe.

I think they were in the AFC Championship during the 96 season, 97 playoffs but I could be wrong. It defintiely wasn't the 98 season.
