Michael Vick has come so far, so fast this season. We expect to be dazzled every week. When Vick doesn’t come through -- like against Minnesota -- we feel like we’ve been cheated.

After one of the most memorable regular seasons any player has authored in a long time, Vick enters the playoffs with renewed questions about his development.

For Friday’s NBCSports.com column, I wrote about the obstacles that Vick faces on Sunday against the Packers. Vick has to improve his blitz recognition, his offensive line needs to play better, and the Packers defense poses a serious matchup problem.

Conventional wisdom says the Packers have a great chance to advance. But Vick’s game isn’t about conventional wisdom, and that’s why this is one of the best Wild Card matchups we’ve seen in a long, long time.
