I listened for weeks about the Eagles going to the super bowl. Now at least I can enjoy them crying about this and that about to many penalties and 2 missed field goals and all the bs that fatso has to say about his great Eagles. Angelo and the rest of 610wip
start your crying. I have a whole year to hear the bs about the Eagles………………..

How about a new head coach???????????????

The Eagles will never win a Superbowl.

1. It depends on who is out there. Andy has some real strengths. Unfortunately the run game and in-game decisions are not on the list. If we could get Cowher, I would jump at it.

2. Never? That's dumb. It really is. There is no way to know. At least we are in it almost every year. Andy Reid has made the playoffs at about 75% of the time, has gone to 5 NFC championships, and 1 Super Bowl. That is an amazing record.

3. The above notwithstanding, it's not good enough for we Philly fans. Not sure what the solution is.

Eagles have been preparing for the Packers since the Minn game.

The Eagles track record with that much time to prepare is almost flawless.

They will win this game going away.

Eagles 38

Your post illustrates exactly why the Packers are gonna win. Nobody fears Andy Reid and his “great” record after byes, and your reasoning that they’ve been planning for the Packers since the Minny loss is absurd. Good luck to the Eagles getting back into the groove after weeks of offensive and defensive strugggles – I’m sure the Packers are real scared of Andy Reid and his two week game plan for them.

---It's a tough game for both teams. But not fearing Andy Reid after a bye is stupid. Be afraid. Be very afraid. He's something like 15-0 after byes including the playoffs. 12- regular season. That is impressive. It's not a real bye, but Andy's greatest strength is game planning. That could even be the difference in this one. Who knows. Should be a good game.

"The Seahawks faced three winning teams at Qwest Field in the second half of the season. The Chiefs, Giants, and Falcons won by an average of 23 points. This will be a rout."

Pretty poor gloss over. They were missing the starting QB vs the NYG and had inj to their top 2 WRs for the other 2. NO wins on the road but narrowly, SF, CIN, ATL ex. The line is +10.5. This line wasn't set to just hand out money to a big popular public favourite.

NO wins but it will be closer to that # ie 26-16.

Man Up dwhitehurst. If you are a true Pack fan then you shouldn't be talking that way. Didn't the Pack just beat the Bears who have a somewhat mobile quarterback and a run game in bad weather conditions. The bad weather conditions is what will force Vick to throw more. As a Falcons fan I know not to bank on that.

Or wait...are you just being sarcastic?

"Cold and Windy" for the game in Philly?

Well, I'm a Pack fan all the way, but I'm also realistic. The Packers have no running game to speak of. The Eagles do have a running game, in many more ways than one. If it is cold and windy to the extent that it affects the passing game, this is totally in the Eagles favor. I mean, even if it were mild and not windy, giving the Packer's lack of a running game their chances against the Eagles (and in the playoffs in general) were always going to fall on Rodger's shoulders in terms of the passing game.

So if Philly fans wake up to a crappy, cold and windy day on Sunday, then smile. That is highly a good sign for your Eagles chances. The only chance the Packer's have IS their passing game--without that, heck, even Detroit would beat us. (Oh, yeah, they DID!) So in this case, the only way I see the Eagles losing is if the Packers Defense somehow has the most incredible performance ever, combined with the Eagles beating themselves. Other than that, this Packer fan's money is on the Eagles to win.

So we lose to the Saints 34-19 in their house earlier this year , and people are predicting a bigger blowout this time around and it's in our house ?! They lose to the Bucs and only score 13 points in that game , and have more than a few key players not available or hurt for this game ( Ivory , Pierre-Thomas , Jenkins , Colston with a bad knee ) but we're gonna get our asses kicked , at home , in the pouring freezing rain , with 67,000 Hawks fans screaming their brains out the entire game huh ?

That's just F'n stupid people . Grow a brain stem . I don't see us getting blown out by the kind of scores people are talking about ... look , I have all the respect in the world for the Saints , they're a great team . They should probably win the game . But unless Hasselbeck starts throwing multiple picks again , the score is going to be a lot closer than that . This game is not going to be the blowout people think it is . And I won't be all that surprised by the upset if it happens .

GO HAWKS !!

Rodgers is going to go the way of his baseball namesake, A-Rod, and continue his postseason drought. The guy might be good, but he’s shaping up to be a perennial playoff choke artist. Maybe this time when he punt passes the ball, he’ll at least get it out of bounds – Masthay should give him some pointers.
———————————————-

Please explain how one playoff loss is “perennial”. I keep hearing this argument that Rodgers can’t win a playoff game…..he’s been in one so far! And outside of the last play of the game, he played spectacularly(423 YDS passing , 4 TD, 1 INT plus a rushing TD). The defense lost that game(multiple times) long before overtime started.
--------------------------------------------------------
@dukemarc
You beat me to it. It's amazing to me the fantastic football minds on these forums. 1 playoff loss (That was by no means, Rogers fault) apparently means your a "choke" artist.

I laugh when I read comments about Andy Reids wild card round record etc. What the hell does that have to do with anything? Stats mean absolutely nothing in this situation. We saw the same thing before the Pack played the Eagles the first game of the year. Have not won in Philly since 1962...blah, blah, blah. Speaking from experience I too was way overconfident when Atlanta came into Green Bay years ago with Vick. All I read was GB had NEVER lost a home playoff game so they magically would win that one. Guess what? We lost.

While I feel the Eagles are a very good team, I don't think they can keep up with the Packers offense. The Eagles D is very suspect to the run (Even to the Packers run game) and Asante Samuel takes way to many risks to be effective against a beast like Jennings.

The key here is the Packers defense. Vick better be rested because he's going to be pressured and hit hard and often. Also, if you want stats I'll give you one from this year. The Packers have NEVER trailed by more than 7 points in ANY game this year. So, by that reasoning you need to start looking at who has the better D against the better O. The Pack wins.

It should be a great game to watch. Philly you had a good year, but the Packers will not fold like the Giants (Who you barely beat......Oh yeah, what was the score of the Packers-Giants game again?)

I vaguely remember Mike Vick Goin to Green Bay and beating the Hell out of a Green Bay Packer team with their Saviour Brett Farve at QB.....He had less talent on that Atlanta Falcon team than he does now.....i mean his leading receiver in that game was Warrick Dunn come on and lets not forget wat cud of happened if vick wud have played the Whole game against the Packers earlier this Year.......AJ Hawk and Clay gon have they hands full chasing Mike and Charles Woodson is a great DB but lets face it He is aging and i believe Desean Jackson is a little to Fast for Charles Likings.....

Eagles 27 Packers 14

Ravens vs. Chiefs
Simple an experienced playoff team in the Ravens going against a young athletic KC team....Due to lack of playoff experience in key areas such as QB they mite faulter....i no everyone says wat about Baltimores offense well Flaccos 3rd playoff appearence, Anquan Boldins bn to the SuperBowl, Derrick Masons has not bn to the Super Bowl since that devastating loss to Kurt and The Rams in the Super Bowl.....i no they are tired of the flack they offense has been receiving so i think they ready to take the next step.......

For those of you who are hoping for a Seattle win over the Saints...I think you'll have to take your hope into next season.

I do NOT think it will be a blow-out though. The Saints are so dinged AND injury prone. Without Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory...well, the running game will suffer, for sure. But, and this is a big BUT, more than any other this is a TEAM, not one or two stars. Other teams talk about next man up, but the Saints actually put that on the field.

Reggie Bush has something to prove. I think he and Julius Jones will provide just enough of a run game to open up play action for Drew Brees.

Jimmy Graham injured? Watch Jeremy Shockey to be the guy. He plays hurt ALL the time. This game will be no different, and he will score a TD.

Malcolm Jenkins hurt? Gee whiz, I guess the Saints will have to roll out their pro bowl Darren Sharper. Watch him roam the seondary, closing routes and I believe he'll be motivated to jump one of those routes for an INT when the Seahawks get down and are forced to go to the air. He's hungry for one of those...I believe he'll get one.

Having said all this. I don't think it will be a blow-out. Look for the Saints to come out fast and score in the first quarter. They're looking to take the crowd out of it. Seahawks answer in the second quarter. Saints adjust at half time and pull ahead and although Seattle uses their kicker to come close they never take the lead. Saints - 24, Seahawks - 17.

The Eagles can win with a ball control offense. Unfortunately, Andy Reid has never heard of that approach. Running the ball consistently would take the pressure off Vick. We have good backs and the O-Line can actually run block. The Packers do not excel against the run. Nevertheless, Andy has this latent desire to get his QB killed, so the Pack will win.
