Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said during his press conference to announce his new contract that he’d love to get back to work on the field soon coaching the Senior Bowl. He got his wish.
The Bengals and Bills coaching staffs accepted invitations to coach at the 2011 Senior Bowl. This is the third time Lewis has coached the team; he will coach the North squad.
“I have always felt that if we’re not going to be coaching in the NFL playoffs, we should go to work and get to know some of the new prospects as well as we can,” Lewis said.

OK, he only had one for most of the time but doesn’t it seem that the Bengals just don’t have mature football players? The bad apples tend to ruin the good ones.

For Marv and Chan the Senior Bowl is where they place their dentures before bed.
OK, I admit it: I snorted out loud at my computer when I saw the headline.
Ralph Wilson thought the Senior Bowl was a new place to meet other senior citizens.
Marvin doesn’t have a winning record in the Senior Bowl either.
*sigh*

No comment. I’m getting my first SS check next month.
It’s fitting that the two most amateur organizations in the NFL are asked to coach these amateur athletes.
