I think its time to quit talking about the Colts. Nothing against Reggie Wayne, he’s actually a true professional with a point, media is making a huge deal out of some pretty good questions here, he should question his team. Here’s why.

1. He’s the leading receiver and has been a top receiver in the league for last 4 years.

2. His team folds under pressure in the playoffs

3. Manning bares too much of a burden

4. Blair White seemed to be his “go to” target.

Peyton covers up the many flaws on this team. Without Peyton this is a below average team. No run defense, no pass defense, no running game. Peyton’s not a spring chicken anymore. This lil train will come to a stop soon. I love it.

Just because you write something and write it again and again doesnt make it true. Yes, Revis is one of the best in the league but he has not lived up to his standards this season. Randy Moss burned him twice. Once as a Patriot and once as a Viking. Then Revis was often targeted an burned in the 45-3 shellacking in foxboro. Play dont lie.

Funny you call someone out for not speaking the truth. The TD by Moss on the Vikings was on Cromartie, not Revis.

@sportsjustice i think the point of the article was that the colts SHOULD have thrown at Wayne even tho Revis was covering him. And, I’ve watched every Jets game this year, the vast majority of teams just did not throw Revis’ way.

I’m not an Indy fan but Peyton is an OVER-RATED, one dimensional, two left feet qb. He has the worst foot work of any qb I have ever seen. He is always jittery/ nervous and is not a real big play guy. He is more of a conservative, ball control guy. I think Wayne is a star in his own right and Manning shut him down to get all the spotlite…if they won!

The media has made Manning great…not his wins ! He only has one ring ! While any ring is a tremendous accomplishment, I think when his career is over, we will not be able to rank him along with Montana, Bradshaw, Aikman, Brady etc…..you know the guys with multiple rings that probably didn’t break all-time stat records but just flat out won CHAMPIONSHIPS ( plural ) !

Another myopic Patriots fan who has issues with facts because the player is a Jet. Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha are the two best corners in the NFL. Find better corners anywhere. I guess you think Devin McCourty is better?

Clearly, there is more to this than any of us know. Colt fans have been watching this silently between Peyton and Wayne all year. Sure, Reggie caught a lot of passes this year. However, it’s visible on the field that their relationship is in need of a mediator (probably Polian level). Their both right and wrong. Peyton is right that he needs a balanced attack by air/ground. He’s wrong to believe he can win a playoff game without Reggie Wayne this year regardless who covers him. Reggie is right that he has earned the opportunity to compete against Revis. He is wrong in the fact that he is starting to sound like a Chad Johnson and/or T.O. by using the media to vent his frustration.

Where is the head coach? Why did it get to this? This is why Polian needs to get involved.

It was not Revis taking Wayne out of the game

BUT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

Colts were taking Revis who was following Wayne, completely out of the rest of the game.

i am neither a Colts fan or a Jets fan and can honestly say I had no preference watching that game last night

but I do gotta say the Jets got away with a lot of marginal contact just prior to the ball reaching the receivers hands. (yes, before you jump down my throat – i am aware that the defender is entitled to play the ball). there were many instances lets be clear about that and not just the ones the TV crew discussed on air.

so get ready America some where in Indiana Bill Polian is ripping mad and dreaming up a new point of emphasis for the next years officiating crews.

let the 2011 “wussification” of the NFL season begin!
