Steeler Nation -

The more you fight this the funnier it gets. Let me explain several things:
1.) You need to look up the word irreverance. I could care less if the "Bible" defines the Steeler colors as Black and Gold. I will continue to say Black and Yellow because it ticks you guys off. Yellow (to me) is more befitting your fan base.
2.) You can call the lighter color against your black anything you want. It looks yellow. Personally, the Saints secondary color is more of a gold. When you all waive those ridiculous women's sanitary napkins around which I guess are supposed to be gold, they look like penalty flags - yellow. You can call them silver or pink or lavender, if it makes you feel better. They are yellow!
3.) I have read your posts online before. You really are not that bright. You really should stop a battle you cannot win. Your remark about Drew Brees was just dumb. Not to mention, a QB does not necessarily need to win a SB to be great. I guess Dan Marino (a western PA guy) must have been terrible too. You all think because your team has won 6 SB's you all know more about football. Your steroid ridden team from the 70's dominated. It becoming clearer why as time passes and more information comes out.

I appreciate 1seriously1 bringing even more of your words to the table. Must be tough swallowing all these stupid things you say.

The short bus will come on Monday morning. Relax and enjoy your game tomorrow.

From your own post: "while the Steelers “gold” is more of a bright canary yellow."

WAIT, let me make sure that was your question... "now u idiot do you see anywhere in this that says YELLOW!!!!"

Let's see now... OH, you've got me. You asked for YELLOW, and the other is yellow. It's the caps lock that got me.

Well, canary yellow is... well, YELLOW. Not gold. Just because you call it gold, does not make it gold. Your post actually backs up bunk's argument.

Logo and uniforms
For more details on this topic, see Logos and uniforms of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The script logo.

The Steelers have used black and gold as their colors since the club's inception, the lone exception being the 1943 season when they merged with the Philadelphia Eagles and formed the "Steagles"; the team's colors at that time were green and white as a result of wearing Eagles uniforms. Originally, the team wore solid gold-colored helmets and black jerseys. Unique to Pittsburgh[citation needed], the Steelers' black and gold colors are now shared by all major professional teams in the city, including the Pittsburgh Pirates in baseball and the Pittsburgh Penguins in hockey, and also the Pittsburgh Power of the reformed Arena Football League, and the Pittsburgh Passion of the Independent Women's Football League. However, the Penguins currently use "Vegas Gold", a color similar to metallic gold, and the Pirates' gold is a darker mustard yellow-gold, while the Steelers "gold" is more of a bright canary yellow. Black and gold are also the colors of the city's official flag.

everyone talks brees up?what exactly has he done?he hasnt and cant win big games

Two observations: 1. You are such a homer that you do not have the ability to fairly judge anyone not in black and yellow. Winning a SB just last year makes your comment monumentally stupid. 2. Didn't Brees and his boys rip you all earlier this season?

I stand by my statement that you know nothing about football.

By the way, the Steeler's "gold" as you call it is much closer to yellow than gold. Pretty much the exact color as an official's flag. What color do we call penalty flags. You know, like the ones all over the field last Saturday night.

I am not giving you Gold. Definitely yellow! You all wear it sooooooo well.

1st period is starting. Don't worry "snack time" is soon.

I guess my beatdown advising you he won the Super Bowl last year wasn't enough.

Please don't make me print your exact quote. Although, it would be fun.

Not even smart enough to recognize I purposely used the word yellow. I do it in all my Steeler posts. Yellow matches a lot of things relevant to the Steeler Nation.

Who needs the schooling boy!

Funny. Take a comment thread that is stale to begin with and then start talking smack about where all the Ravens fans are. We're not going away.

You all won fair and square. Talking about calls and stats are for losers. It's all about the win, and we didn't get it.

The black and yellow have been talking about calls more than Ravens fans. Understanding psychology, this leads one to believe you know the truth and are trying to make up for the inadequacies of the calls by trash talking about it. Far be it for you all to have a thinking man's approach to things though.

Time to get back to class kids. You have studying to do.

Relax, the game is this Saturday. It will be played then and only then, not a day sooner, you're going to have to wait to see the outcome just like everyone else.

As for twisting facts until it fits...you're doing everything you can to make Ben appear the inferior QB here. For example,

"Flacco is only 6th QB to reach 10,000 yards in first three years and only the 4th to be in the playoffs every year for the first three."

Good for him. You seem very good with numbers. Now count how many rings all of Flacco's success got him. Right. But ya know what? Doesn't matter this Saturday. He gets another shot at the big leagues. I admit I'll be a huge Ravens if they knock the Steelers out.

Be happy you have a QB that is improving with every game and can offensively lead your team for years to come. Then at the end of his career you can reflect back on it and cherish the memories.

Ben has done nothing this year. you guys are just full of it. He could not get into the endzone against the Ravens. Ben is a far cry from being top elite QB, he is up their just solely for playing on athe Steeler's team. you just need to lay off the coolaid. Didn't you guys beat the Falcons with a backup QB but lost to NO, Jets and Pats with Ben?????

Ben is good but not great, playing on the Steelers team elevates his game, certainly not the other way around. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing that would indicate that you guys would have won the first game with Ben. the second game you guys had lost for 57 minutes WITH Ben who could not move the offense at all. Troy won the game not Ben and Troy played int he first game. We played without Ed in the first so you guys were at no disadvantage.

Flacco is only 6th QB to reach 10,000 yards in first three years and only the 4th to be in the playoffs every year for the first three.

There is nothing that elevates Ben's play over Flacco's this year.

Last year with Ben all year you guys did not even make the playoffs, Flacco did. i know last year was last year, old stats only count when it is six rings and the Ben is 6-0 against teh ravens.

Steeler fans are the most pathetic, twist every fact until it fits. Face it Thommy was pretty good, Dixon too and Kordell ... on the Steelers team ....

Don't be against my stamina LOL When this story broke, I picked up a legion of PFT stalkers from hell who posted detailed descriptions of how I should be gang-raped on urine-soaked floors ... how I'd sold out womenkind ... and Steeler fans insisting I was trying to destroy the franchise. It was a swell time for a diehard Steelers fan who happens to be a real rape survivor. But I outlasted the lunatics and the recurring nightmares the whole thing stirred up. I'm a three-time cancer survivor, have had nearly 30 surgeries, and spent a few years writing in an overseas hot spot (which is where I was assaulted). So I have good endurance skills. But even so, yes, I'll eventually get too bored to bother.

Actually, MSWRavens and I are pals, even though we don't see eye to eye on everything :) And I have also posted on Ray's innocence of the murder charge.

Completely agree with your assessment that both he and Ben were young, foolish, arrogant athletes making poor personal decisions. As I had hoped would happen when Ben hired Ed Garland, Ray has been mentoring him throughout the summer. What Ben most needs to do is grow up, and I hope Ray can be a positive influence in that process.

@1seriously1 ... I have a life, too. Unfortunately, it includes prior assault experience, so I pay closer attention to such things than the average person. And since my life includes writing on medical and legal issues, researching such things comes easily. My brother and sis-in-law are criminal defense attorneys, and I've known people who were wrongly imprisoned. So Roethlisberger's situation involved issues I follow even when they don't impact the Steelers.

Can’t wait for Saturday, all jacked up …

as for Ben owning the Ravens … didn’t look that sharp to me in the last game. the game changer was Palomalu not Ben. Suggs could not be stopped and was in Bens face all day. Ravens led for 55 minutes. Ben could not finish a single drive and was stopped in the red zone twice for FG. The only TD came after your D put it on 5 yard line.

omg are you kidding me?lmao flaco played every game this year, ben 12 games

flacos stats this year 16 games
TDS
25
INT
10
YDS
3,622
RTG
93.6

look at the yards alone for an example, ben probably woulda been at least second in the league in yards if it wasnt for his blunder.man get the facts before you compare players.flaco has a long way to go before you could ever compare the 2.

like i have seen stated in earlier posts if ben was in that 1st game there is no way ravens would have won it.you ravens almost got beat by an old man behind center, what makes you think they would have won that 1st game with one of the best QB's in the nfl today

all things aside from bens off field problems, you cant take away that he is one of the best in the NFL and will be for along time.

oh one more thing.i remember seeign suggs running holding onto Ben near the end of the game, ben broken nose and foot and could not bring him down..lol
