QB, coach and coordinators. Schottenheimer is horrible. The rest is a wash. If you have a QB of Gaydy’s caliber and a coach of Belicheat’s caliber, you get the edge automatically.

Pats fan here…don’t root for the team I love hoping it will shut Rex up. It won’t shut him up win or lose. Go ahead and hate the Pats with a clear conscience. Just like nothing shuts Braylon up or Bart Scott or LaComplainian whoever. If 45-3 didn’t shut them up, a playoff loss won’t either.

The only difference is that one player doesn’t have a coach who constantly blabs about how great he is.

Compare that to Revis’ 87 tackles, ZERO interceptions, ZERO sacks, ZERO forced fumbles, and 10 passes defended. And he’s a THIRD year guy!

Wake up, Jets homers. Revis isn’t even the best corner in the division, nevermind the best player in the league.

1)So you would prefer Revis over lets say Brady or Manning …. A corner can impact a given receiver on a play. A QB impacts the entire offense.

Then after the game Norv Turner said he’s the best corner in the league by far and they game planned to stay away from him. On one of those 4 passes, Revis had an interception. You couldnt be more wrong. Revis is one of the most physical corners in the league. Its part of what makes him so great. He is nothing like Deion in that respect.

Which is why Cromartie gets victimized. As noted Saturday Cromartie is best at bump and run, but fails when he is forced to play in space. He gets burned.

So say Revis covers Branch all day. Great. Is Tate gonna just burn Cromartie? Is Welker simply going to cut and leave him in the dust? Are Gronkowski and Hernandez gonna give the linebacking corps fits? Are the Jets gonna blitz and get burned by the short pass, law firm, and Woodhead? Or are they gonna back off like they did in Indy and give Brady all the time in the world to cut them apart?

Are they going to run the ball against Wilfork? Or are they going to rely on Sanchez to finally get on target? If Sanchez is off, it isn’t going to be a matter of receivers adjusting to the ball. It is going to be a matter of McCourtey (7 more INTs than Revis), Merriwather, et al. intercepting him all day?

Rex can’t coach well. During the last game he single handedly let the game get out of control early, and his team sank. If this game gets out of hand early, it is going to be a LONG day for the Jets.

They COULD keep it close with all the talent they have, but I don’t see it happening.
