NFL draft season officially kicks off next Monday, when practices begin for the East-West Shrine Game in Orlando. The Senior Bowl starts the following Monday.

With the underclassmen deadline to declare for the draft coming Saturday, some potential early entrants are still weighing their decisions. 53 have announced their intentions to go pro, including Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt (pictured).

We’ve been tracking the underclassmen announcements all week. Bang it here for the full list.

  1. What is the origin of “bang it here”? You have used that before and I like the ring of it. Is that a new world web-related term or is that a remnant of newspaper days?

  2. I think Jerry Jones just hires people who make him look more handsome. He can’t get any more face lifts and more Botox will kill him eventually. Note to Rob Ryan, lose some weight, get a dang haircut, and start showing that your family can actually practice some self control. Also, please don’t color your hair anymore. It scares and confuses kids.

I’m pretty sure its from the Office.

  4. It looks like a decent group but not the best underclassmen class by far. As usual some over hyped OT’s will go in the top 5.

  5. Suggestion: the scope of your post would benefit greatly if you simply added how many underclassmen declared for the draft last season and the season before that. If together we aspire to gain wisdom from our understanding of this sport, then can we at least say that football is a game of field position. There is no reason to punt on 3rd down, which is how my feelings on this post ultimately sum up. It is what it is.
