The League REQUIRES that these injury reports be made. A team has no say in the matter. The biggest reason is to keep gamblers from getting inside information. If a team does not properly list a player’s injuries the sanctions are extremely harsh.

It’s easy to say that when nobody for the Bears is injured. The Packers have consistently stated that they are proud of the way their depth has stepped up and played well. I don’t think that sounds like making excuses.

Also, It’s a good thing the Bears didn’t rest their starters against the Packers on Week 17. It would have been a waste, since they’re healthy now. Plus, we got to see the Packers win that game instead of seeing the Bears lose it.
