The Jets are 30 minutes away from another memorable New York upset of the Patriots.

New York leads 14-3 at halftime after a mistake-filled half by New England. It could be worse.

Tom Brady’s interception streak ended with an errant throw picked off by David Harris. (The Jets didn’t score after that one.) Patriots Tight end Alge Crumpler dropped a touchdown pass, and safety Patrick Chung dropped an attempted fake punt that directly led to Jets points.

After a slow start, Mark Sanchez had calmed down with a number of good third down throws. He recognized a blitz before throwing a 15-yard touchdown pass to Braylon Edwards late in the second quarter.

The Patriots are usually great in the two minute situation, but failed to score twice when given the ball at the end of the second quarter. Brady was sacked three times and seems to be confused by the Jets’ ever-changing coverage schemes.

Maybe Rex Ryan read that Eric Mangini column.
