It must be the offseason when we’re talking about Rams safety O.J. Atogwe again.

The Rams and Atowge took forever to come up with a three-year deal last offseason that ultimately amounted to a one-year deal with options.

Atogwe can void his contract on February 7, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. There’s not much incentive for him to do so because the Rams have to pick up an $8 million option or release him on February 21.

Atogwe is a good, not great safety that probably isn’t worth that kind of money. Then again, the Rams will possibly be looking for two starting safeties if they let him walk away.
